"Australia" is the 20th episode of the Modern Family (season 5), fifth season of the United States, American sitcom ''Modern Family'', and the series' 116th overall. It was aired on April 23, 2014. The episode was written by Elaine Ko & Danny Zuker and directed by Steven Levitan. The episode is notable for its inclusion of Australian landmarks and points of interest. Each character in the episode explores Australia in their own way and encounter evolving attitudes and personal growth as they encounter unexpected obstacles during their visit. Steven Levitan
Steven E. Levitan (born April 6, 1962) is an American television producer, director, and screenwriter. He has created such television series as ''Just Shoot Me!'', ''Stark Raving Mad (TV series), Stark Raving Mad'', ''Stacked'', ''Back to You (TV series), Back to You'', ''Modern Family'', and ''Reboot (2022 TV series), Reboot''. Early life and education Levitan was raised American Jews, Jewish in Chicago, Illinois. Kangaroo
Kangaroos are four marsupials from the family Macropodidae (macropods, meaning "large foot").
