Austin High School (El Paso, Texas)
Stephen F. Austin High School is a high school in El Paso, Texas. Austin opened in 1930. It is part of the El Paso Independent School District. The school's mascot is a golden panther named "Henry." Austin High School is located in the heart of historic Central El Paso and serves the Central community. The school was designed by Texas contractor and architect Robert E. McKee. When the local school district ran out of money during the construction, McKee donated the remainder owed. Consequently, the school's football stadium is named in McKee's honor. The R.E. McKee Construction Company built the school and used a classic Spanish architecture. The structure is surmounted by a 103-foot tower. Bobby Bowden
Robert Cleckler Bowden (; November 8, 1929 – August 8, 2021) was an American college football coach. Bowden coached the Florida State Seminoles of Florida State University (FSU) from 1976 to 2009 and is considered one of the greatest college football coaches of all time for his accomplishments with the Seminoles. During his time at Florida State, Bowden led FSU to an Associated Press and Coaches Poll National Title in 1993 and a BCS National Championship in 1999, as well as twelve Atlantic Coast Conference championships once FSU joined the conference in 1991. Bowden's Seminoles finished as an AP top-5 team for 14 consecutive seasons, setting a record which doubled the closest program. The Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) is the highest court in the federal judiciary of the United States. Sandra Day O'Connor
Sandra Day O'Connor (born March 26, 1930) is an American retired attorney and politician who served as the first female associate justice of the Supreme Court of the United States from 1981 to 2006. She was both the first woman nominated and the first confirmed to the court. Nominated by President Ronald Reagan, she was considered the swing vote for the Rehnquist Court and the first five months of the Roberts Court. Mighty Mouse
Mighty Mouse is an American animated Anthropomorphism, anthropomorphic superhero mouse character created by the Terrytoons studio for 20th Century Fox. The character was originally called Super Mouse, and made his debut in the 1942 short ''The Mouse of Tomorrow''. The name was changed to Mighty Mouse in his eighth film, 1944's ''The Wreck of the Hesperus'', and the character went on to star in 80 theatrical shorts, concluding in 1961 with ''Cat Alarm''. Tom Moore (cartoonist)
Tom Moore (1928 – July 20, 2015) was an American cartoonist and member of National Cartoonists Society, known for his work on the Archie Comic Book series in the late 1950s, ''The National Cartoonists Society Album'' Revised Edition, 1972-77, Compiled by Mort Walker and then again in the late 1980s. Moore was born in El Paso, Texas, and was a 1946 graduate of Austin High School in El Paso. He began drawing cartoons while serving in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He attended the University of Texas at El Paso, the American Academy of Art in Chicago, and the Cartoonists and Illustrators School (renamed the School of Visual Arts in 1956) in New York, the latter funded by the G.I.
