Ausra Fridrikas (born lt, Aušra Miklušytė; formerly Ziukiene; 30 April 1967 in Lithuania) is a Lithuanian–Austrian handball player and World champion from 1990. She first played for Soviet Union, later for Lithuania and finally for Austria. Varėna
Varėna (; pl, Orany; yi, אוראַן ''Oran'') is a city in Dzūkija, Lithuania. History The town was founded in 1862 near the Warsaw – Saint Petersburg Railway, south of Sena Varėna (Old Varėna). At that time it was a small settlement, but following steady development it eventually became the center of the district. In the interbellum period, following World War I, the town was annexed by Poland, and renamed Orany. It was located near the then Polish-Lithuanian border, in the Wilno-Troki County (''Powiat wileńsko-trocki'') of the Wilno Voivodeship. In 1939, following the German-Soviet Invasion of Poland, Varėna was returned to Lithuania. On September 9, 1942, all the Jews of the town of Varėna were collected in the local synagogue. Handball (also known as team handball, European handball or Olympic handball) is a team sport in which two teams of seven players each (six outcourt players and a goalkeeper) pass a ball using their hands with the aim of throwing it into the goal of the other team. Bojana Radulović ( sr-cyr, Бојана Радуловић, hu, Radulovics Bojana; born 23 March 1973), is a retired Serbian-Hungarian handball player who currently leads the handball academy of Dunaújváros. Trine Haltvik (born March 23, 1965) is a Norwegian handball coach and former player. Currently she is coach for the Norwegian girls' under-17 team. Lukas Fridrikas (born 30 December 1997) is an Austrian professional footballer who plays as a striker for Austria Lustenau. Career Fridrikas is a product of the youth academies of Admira Wacker and Red Bull Salzburg. He began his senior career with Anif in 2015, before moving to Seekirchen where he scored 15 goals in 17 games. He then signed with Wiener Neustädter in January 2017. Fridrikas moved to Dornbirn in 2018, and helped them get promoted into the 2. Liga. On 30 December 2020, he transferred to Wacker Innsbruck signing a contract until 2024.
