Aurthohin is a Bangladeshi rock band formed in Dhaka in 1998 by Saidus Sumon (vocals and bass guitar), Tonmoy Rahman (lead guitar), Ponir (rhythm guitar) and Rumi Rahman (drums and percussion). They are considered to be one of the pioneering band in Bangladeshi alternative rock music. They have released 8 studio albums and also have appeared in some mixed albums. Though they were formed as a rock band they have experimented with genres like progressive metal and groove metal. Sumon's interests in slap bass also led the band's sound into funk-rock. After signing with G-Series, they released their debut studio album ''Trimatrik'' on 7 October 2000. The following album ''Biborton'', released on 10 December 2001, was more positively reviewed and gained more success than the previous one. Sumon (musician)
Saidus Salehin Khaled Sumon (born 8 January 1973), popularly known by his nickname Bassbaba Sumon, is a Bangladeshi rock singer-songwriter, bass player, composer, music producer and founder of the Bangladeshi rock band Aurthohin. He is the band leader and spokesperson of Aurthohin since the beginning. Sumon was born and raised in Dhaka. He started learning bass by himself at the age of 14. He first auditioned for rock band Feelings in 1990 at the age of 16 and joined the band that year. He had played in 11 bands by the age of 19. In 1996, he joined Warfaze and later appeared in the band's 1998 hit album " অসামাজিক (''Antisocial'')" and left the band. Ibrahim Ahmed Kamal
Ibrahim Ahmed Kamal (born 2 May 1969) is a Bangladeshi guitarist, songwriter and producer. He is the lead guitarist and the founder of the heavy metal band Warfaze. He has been the band's guitarist and composer for three decades. In his early days in Warfaze, he used to play bass. In the late 1987, he took the role of playing guitar. He had appeared on all the studio albums of Warfaze. In 2005 he left the band for Aurthohin, where he played guitars. He appeared in two albums of the band, including অসমাপ্ত (''Unfinished'') in 2008 and অসমাপ্ত ২ (''Unfinished II'') in 2008. He also won the Channel i best band of the year award with the band. Raef Al Hasan Rafa
Raef Al Hasan Rafa (born 27 October 1988) is a Bangladeshi singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist. He is best known as the former drummer of rock band Aurthohin, and current drummer of metal band Cryptic Fate. He's also member of metal band Severe Dementia, Kral and The Joint Family. He is the founding member of the rock band AvoidRafa. Biography Beginnings Due to his father's job posting, he spent some time of his childhood in Libya, he was the youngest child of his family, and is the younger brother of Saadi Muktafi, a guitarist and the founding member of the band Kral. Warfaze (Bengali language, Bengali: ওয়ারফেইজ) is a Bangladeshi heavy metal band formed in 6 June 1984 in Dhaka by Ibrahim Ahmed Kamal, Kamal, Meer, Helal, Naimul, and Bappy. Artcell is a Bangladeshi progressive metal band formed in October 1999 by vocalist and riff guitarist George Lincoln D'Costa, lead guitarist Ershad Zaman, bassist Saef Al Nazi Cézanne and drummer Kazi Sazzadul Asheqeen Shaju. The first song the band composed was ‘'' অন্য সময় (Other Time)''’. The song set the standard for all the songs yet to come along the way. G-Series is a major Bangladeshi record label. The company produces and publishes cassettes, CDs, VCDs, and DVDs of dramas, telefilms, movies, and music. It is one of the largest such companies in Bangladesh. The owner of the company is Nazmul Haque Bhuiyan, popularly known as Khaled. The Daily Star described it a major record label in Bangladesh. History G-Series was established in 1983 by Nazmul Haque Bhuiyan. In 2006, Agniveena production was founded as a sister concern of G-Series. Cryptic Fate is a Bangladeshi heavy metal band formed in 1993 in Dhaka. They are one of the pioneers of Bangladeshi metal music. Iqbal Asif Jewel (born 1 March) is a Bangladeshi singer, songwriter, guitarist, composer and producer. He is currently a member of the band Miles.
