Aung La N Sang
Aung La Maung Nsang ( my, အောင်လအန်ဆန်း; born on May 21, 1985) is a Burmese-American mixed martial artist of ethnic Kachin descent currently signed to ONE Championship, competing in both the Middleweight and Light heavyweight divisions. He is a former ONE Middleweight World Champion and ONE Light Heavyweight World Champion. He made his MMA debut in 2005 and would go on to become a major star in his native Myanmar after signing with ONE Championship and winning two titles with the organization. He is also one of the few Myanmar citizens with an international profile, given the country only began opening up to the outside world over the last decade. Myitkyina
Myitkyina (, ; (Eng; ''mitchinar'') Jinghpaw: ''Myitkyina'', ) is the capital city of Kachin State in Myanmar (Burma), located from Yangon, and from Mandalay. In Burmese it means "near the big river", and Myitkyina is on the west bank of the Ayeyarwady River, just below from Myit-son (Burmese for confluence) of its two headstreams (the Mali and N'mai rivers). Kill Cliff FC, officially known as Kill Cliff Fight Club (formerly known as Sanford MMA, Hard Knocks 365 and Combat Club) is a mixed martial arts gym based in Deerfield Beach, Florida. It was originally founded in 2017 by Henri Hooft and Greg Jones as Combat Club and later Hard Knocks 365 before being rebranded to Sanford MMA in 2019 after obtaining a sponsorship deal with Sanford Health. In July 2022, the gym rebranded to Kill Cliff FC. Overview In 2017, Henri Hooft left the Blackzilians and alongside Greg Jones, founded the gym, Combat Club in Boynton Beach, Florida. Lone Chaw
Lone Chaw ( my, လုံးချော) is a retired Burmese Lethwei fighter and former Openweight Lethwei World Champion. Personal life Lone Chaw is of Karen descent. He was born in a humble village in the Ayeyarwady division in Myanmar. He dropped out of school in the ninth grade and started working at the family farm full-time. In 1995, he started training Lethwei and became determined to be a successful professional fighter when he learned his hometown did not boast a Myanmar Lethwei champion. He moved to Yangon in 1999 to pursue that goal. His first fight was at a traditional festival. In 2004, he joined Thut Ti Lethwei Gym under Win Zin Oo. Tway Ma Shaung () (born December 9, 1982) is a retired Burmese lethwei fighter considered by many to be the best of his generation and a legend in the sport, his fighting style characterised by his resilience and virtuosity. He was revered for taking on larger and heavier opponents and praised for his commitment to working the body instead of the head. Biography Tway Ma Shaung was born in Mon State, but his family moved to Tanintharyi Region when he was two years old. Christianity in Myanmar has a history dating to the early 18th century. According to the 2016 census, Christianity is the country's second largest religion, practiced by 6.3% of the population, primarily among the Kachin, Chin and Kayin, and Eurasians because of missionary work in their respective areas.
