Audun Endestad
Audun Endestad (born January 19, 1953) is a Norwegian-born American cross-country skier, author and field guide. He is a past Olympic, World and National Team cross-country skier. Biography Audun Gudmund Endestad was born in Bryggja, Sogn og Fjordane, Norway. Endestad competed from 1984 to 1997. He finished 18th in the 50 km event at the 1984 Winter Olympics in Sarajevo. He is a six-time Great American Ski Chase champion and 13-time National cross-country skiing champion. Family Endestad is married to Sally Zack, a former Olympic, World and National Team Bicycle Racer, who competed for the United States in Olympic cycling in 1988 and 1992. Bryggja
Bryggja is a village in southwestern part of Stad Municipality in Vestland county, Norway. It is located on the mainland, along the northern shore of the Nordfjorden. The village is located about east of the urban areas of Måløy–Deknepollen–Tennebø in Kinn Municipality and it is about west of the village of Stårheim. The small village of Totland lies just west of Bryggja. The village has a population (2018) of 317 and a population density of . The FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 1989 took place 17–26 February 1989 in Lahti, Finland, for a record fifth time (1926, 1938, 1958, 1978). The women's 5 km was not held after being reintroduced in the previous championships. The 4 × 10 kilometre cross-country skiing event was the only relay event of the men's cross-country skiing programme at the 1984 Winter Olympics, in Sarajevo, Yugoslavia. It was the eleventh appearance of the 4 × 10 km relay in the Winter Olympics. The competition was held on Thursday, 16 February 1984, at Veliko Polje, Igman. It was the first time since 1964 that Sweden won the gold medal in the event.
