Audrey Kobayashi
Audrey Lynn Kobayashi (born 1951 in British Columbia) is a Canadian professor and author, specializing in geography, geopolitics, and racial and gender studies. She was the vice-president of the Canadian Association of Geographers from 1999 to 2000, and the president from 2000 to 2002. Kobayashi was also the vice-president of the American Association of Geographers in 2010, and president in 2011. Kobayashi is currently a professor in the Department of Geography, and a Queen's Research Chair, at Queen's University. Education Kobayashi earned her Bachelor of Arts in Geography at the University of British Columbia in 1976. Two years later, she received her Master of Arts at the same university. In 1983, after assisting in research at the Department of Geography at Kyoto University, she earned her Ph. D in Geography at the University of California at Los Angeles. British Columbia

Women Geographers
A woman is an adult female human. Prior to adulthood, a female human is referred to as a girl (a female child or Adolescence, adolescent). The plural ''women'' is sometimes used in certain phrases such as "women's rights" to denote female humans regardless of age. Typically, women inherit a pair of X chromosomes, one from each parent, and are capable of pregnancy and giving childbirth, birth from puberty until menopause. More generally, sex differentiation of the female fetus is governed by the lack of a present, or functioning, SRY-gene on either one of the respective sex chromosomes.
