Audio Karate
Audio Karate is an American rock band from Rosemead, California. History Audio Karate signed to Kung Fu Records in fall 2001. They put out their debut album, ''Space Camp'', on May 14, 2002. The album featured the songs "Nintendo 89," "Rosemead," and "Senior Year." After the release of ''Space Camp'', Audio Karate toured the world with bands such as The Ataris, NOFX, Blink-182. In November and December, the group went on the Kung Fu Records 2002 tour in the US and UK alongside The Vandals and Tsunami Bomb. This was followed by a European leg in January and February 2003. In late June, the group appeared on the Warped Tour. In January 2004, the group played on the Japanese leg of Warped Tour. After the heavy touring, the band decided to take a break to write their next record. The result was an album named ''Lady Melody'' that was produced by Bill Stevenson of the Descendents. Rosemead is a city in Los Angeles County, California, United States. As of the 2021 census, it had a population of 50,245, currently dropping. Rosemead is part of a cluster of cities, along with Alhambra, Arcadia, Temple City, Monterey Park, San Marino, and San Gabriel, in the west San Gabriel Valley with a growing Asian-American population. Warped Tour
The Warped Tour was a traveling rock tour that toured the United States plus three or four stops in Canada annually each summer from 1995 until 2019. It was the largest traveling music festival in the United States and the longest-running touring music festival to date in North America. Following the first Warped Tour, the skateboard shoe manufacturer Vans became the tour’s main sponsor, when it then became known as the Vans Warped Tour. Vans toured Australia in 1998-2002 and again in 2013. Although Vans continued as main sponsor and lent its name to the festival, other sponsors also participated, with stages or other aspects of the festival being named after them on occasion. Rufio
Rufio was an American rock band from Rancho Cucamonga, California, United States, in 2000. They released four studio albums: ''Perhaps, I Suppose'' (2001); ''MCMLXXXV'' (2003); ''The Comfort of Home'' (2005); and'' Anybody Out There'' (2010). History Rufio was formed when bassist Jon Berry was a freshman in college and the other three members, Scott Sellers, Mike Jimenez, and Clark Domae were in high school. Sellers and Domae had been acquainted for some time and found a shared talent in the guitar. Sellers met Berry and they began playing together in various groups and sessions. Around the same time, the two purchased a 4-track to record the songs they were writing. After Berry and Sellers began recording, they asked Jimenez to listen to their recordings and play drums with them. Domae joined shortly after and completed the official lineup. Time in Malta was an American band from San Francisco, California. History Time in Malta was a post-hardcore band formed in San Francisco, CA in 1998. Pipedown
Pipedown was an American hardcore punk band from Northern California, United States, with radical leftist lyrics. Starting in Grass Valley, California in 1997, their lyrics are often reminiscent of eco-anarchism, especially since they recommended readings such as the Unabomber manifesto and ''Deep Ecology for the 21st Century'' (George Sessions) on their first album ''Enemies of Progress.'' In 2003, Pipedown released ''Mental Weaponry,'' again on A-F Records. Over the course of this group's lifetime, Pipedown took part in over five full U.S. tours and two European tours spanning eight countries; sharing stages with the bands: Anti-Flag, Thrice, The Bouncing Souls, Darkest Hour, The Lawrence Arms, Tsunami Bomb, etc. On July 13, 2005, A-F Records announced Pipedown's breakup. Andrew Robert Nielsen (born October 6, 1982), known professionally as MC Lars, is an American record producer, rapper, cartoonist, podcaster and educator. Lars is one of the self-proclaimed originators of "lit-hop", and is the founder and CEO of the independent record label Horris Records. Lars has been cited as the creator of the term " iGeneration", which he was credited with doing in 2003. Education Lars attended Stevenson School, a high school in Pebble Beach, California. Say Anything is an American rock band from Los Angeles, California. The band was formed in 2000 by Max Bemis and his friends, and within two years, self-released two EPs and a full-length album. In 2003, the band signed with their first label, Doghouse Records. A year later, they released their second album, '' ...Is a Real Boy''. To support the album, they picked up new members and began touring; however, despite rapidly growing critical and fan acclaim, Bemis' health problems, including bipolar disorder and drug addictions, sidelined the band in 2005 as five band members left during the year. Say Anything signed with J Records in 2005 and, following Bemis' successful rehabilitation, re-released ''...Is a Real Boy'' with their new label. Dynamite Boy
Dynamite Boy was a pop punk band from Austin, Texas. Their final and longest lasting line-up included Sean Neil, Dusty Kohn, Adrian Munoz and Sam Rich. They disbanded in 2005 after a ten-year career, with several reunions between then and 2014, where they celebrated the 10th anniversary of the release of their final record. They have been inactive since. History Dynamite Boy were formed in 1995 in Austin by Andrew Leeper, Matt Greco, Lester Chiu, and John Huckleba after shifting to a more pop punk style from their previous punk and funk incarnation known as Yoda's Love Child. Original singer Lester Chiu left a few months in and was replaced by Sean Neil, then of the Contradicks. Denver Harbor was an American alternative rock band, based in San Diego, California. The Descendents are an American punk rock band formed in 1977 in Manhattan Beach, California, by guitarist Frank Navetta, bassist Tony Lombardo and drummer Bill Stevenson.
