Atwater is west-northwest of Merced, California, Merced, at an elevation of . The population as of the 2020 United States census, 2020 census was 31,970, up from 28,168 in 2010. William Craig Mooneyham (August 16, 1960) was an American professional baseball pitcher for the Oakland Athletics of the Major League Baseball (MLB). Mooneyham attended Merced College. He was originally drafted in 1980 Major League Baseball draft in the 1st round (10th overall), and made his MLB debut on April 19, 1986 with Oakland. He played for only one season in the MLB, for which he was paid $60,000. In the minor leagues he played for the Salinas Spurs of the Class A California League in 1980 and the Holyoke Millers of the class AA Eastern League in 1981. He also played for Edmonton, Nashua, Modesto, Huntsville and Tacoma. Bernard Berrian
Bernard Berrian (born December 27, 1980) is a former American football wide receiver. He was drafted by the Chicago Bears in the third round of the 2004 NFL Draft. He played college football at Fresno State. Berrian also played for the Minnesota Vikings. Early years Berrian was born in Spain, and grew up in Winton, California, while both of his parents served at Castle Air Force Base. Berrian attended Atwater High School in Atwater, California, where he played football and basketball and ran track. He was named Modesto Bee player of the year in 1998. Larry Jamill Kelly (born October 25, 1977) is an American freestyle wrestler. He represented the United States at the 2004 Summer Olympic Games where he earned a silver medal. He is currently a part of the University of North Carolina At Chapel Hill Wrestling coaching staff as well as being the head coach for the Tar Heel Wrestling Club RTC in Chapel Hill. Early life Kelly was born in Atwater, California, where he attended Atwater High School and placed fourth in the state wrestling tournament as a senior. The Sac-Joaquin Section (SJS) is the governing body of public and private high school athletics in parts of Northern San Joaquin Valley, California.
