Attorney General Of Indonesia
The Office of the Attorney General of the Republic of Indonesia (Indonesian: ''Kejaksaan Agung Republik Indonesia'') is the competent authority to advise the Government of Indonesia on matters of law. It serves as the central organization for the Indonesian Public Prosecution Service (''Kejaksaan Republik Indonesia''). The Attorney General's Office is seated in the national capital Jakarta. The Office is headed by the Attorney General of Indonesia, who have the authority to represent the government at the Supreme Court of Indonesia and is a Cabinet-level official. The Office is not part of any justice portfolio or the Judiciary, however, as the cabinet has its own Ministry of Law and Human Rights (''Kementerian Hukum dan Hak Asasi Manusia'') with a separate Minister of Law and Human Rights (''Menteri Hukum dan Hak Asasi Manusia'') that focuses on more technical matters and regulatory role making rather than executing the Supreme Court's order. Sanitiar Burhanuddin
Sanitiar Burhanuddin (17 July 1954) is the present Attorney General of Indonesia, serving since October 2019 in the cabinet of President Joko Widodo. He was previously deputy attorney general for civil and state administrative cases. Upon his appointment, he denied having links to any political parties, despite his older brother, Tubagus Hasanuddin, being an executive of the ruling Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P) and a former military secretary to former president and incumbent PDI-P leader Megawati Sukarnoputri. In response to calls for the government to settle unresolved cases of human rights abuses, including the Semanggi shootings, Burhanuddin in January 2020 said the National Commission on Human Rights had not submitted complete evidence to the Attorney General's Office. Ismail Saleh
Lieutenant General Ismail Saleh (7 November 1926 – 21 October 2008) was Prosecutor General and later Minister of Justice of Indonesia. Biography Saleh was born in Pati, Central Java on 7 November 1926. He graduated from a school for native Indonesians in 1941. Four years later, he graduated from the Middle School of Agriculture, and in 1950 he graduated from high school; during high school he enrolled in the army. His first position in the army was in intelligence, serving with Third Division in Yogyakarta. In 1948, he transferred to the Ronggolawe Squad of Fifth Division in Pati and Wonosobo. After finishing his education, he switched to the legal division in 1950. Rising through the ranks, by 1964 he was mid-level officer in the investigative division. Ali Said (Indonesia)
Ali Said (1927-1996) was an Indonesian judge, military officer and politician. Like his predecessor Mujono, he was one of a string of former military officials to be appointed to the judiciary of Indonesia. Said often worked closely with Ismail Saleh and Mujono. Said replaced Mujono as Minister of Law and then as Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Indonesia; Saleh replaced Said as Attorney General and then Minister of Law. Together, the three were known as the "Three Punokawan In Javanese '' wayang'' (shadow puppets), the ''panakawan'' or ''panakavan'' (''phanakavhan'') are the clown servants of the hero. Ali Said - Fourth Development Cabinet
ʿAlī ibn Abī Ṭālib ( ar, عَلِيّ بْن أَبِي طَالِب; 600 – 661 CE) was the last of four Rightly Guided Caliphs to rule Islam (r. 656 – 661) immediately after the death of Muhammad, and he was the first Shia Imam. The issue of his succession caused a major rift between Muslims and divided them into Shia and Sunni groups. Sugiharto
Sugiharto (sometimes spelled Soegiharto; 29 April 1955 – 15 July 2021) was an Indonesian politician and businessman. He was Minister of State Owned Enterprises from 2004 to 2007 and was deputy chairman of the Indonesian Association of Muslim Intellectuals (ICMI). He died of COVID-19 in 2021.
