Atila Hejazi (born 13 July 1976) is an Iranian retired football player and coach. He is the son of former Iranian football goalkeeper and manager Nasser Hejazi. Early life Hejazi was born on 2 June 1976 in Tehran, Iran. His father was Nasser Hejazi and his mother is Behnaz Shafie. He has a sister, Atoosa. He was admitted to Shahid Beheshti University in 1995. Careers He played for Esteghlal from 1997 to 1999. Tehran
Tehran (; fa, تهران ) is the largest city in Tehran Province and the capital of Iran. Shahid Behesti University ( fa, دانشگاه شهید بهشتی , Dāneshgāh-e Shahid Beheshti) (formerly known as the National University of Iran) is a public research university in Tehran, Iran. The university offers many programs at Bachelor's, Master's and Ph.D. levels. History Shahid Behesti University was founded in 1959 by Ali Sheikholislam. The university was planned to be devoted to graduate studies. At its opening, it consisted of two schools: Architecture and Urban Planning, and Banking and Economics, with 174 students. Soon the School of Literature and Foreign Languages began in downtown Tehran. The first graduate academic degree program was the Master's course in the School of Architecture, launched in 1961. Nasser Hejazi
Nasser Hejazi (Persian: ناصر حجازی ''nāser hejāzi''; 14 December 1949 – 23 May 2011), nicknamed "the legendary Iranian goalkeeper", was an Iranian football player and coach who most notably played for Esteghlal (Taj). Considered as the best goalkeeper in the history of Iranian football and Asia, he was capped 62 times for the Iran national football team. In 2000, the Asian Football Confederation ranked him the second best Asian goalkeeper of the 20th century. He was goalkeeper of Iran national team in the 1960s and 1970s and won the AFC Asian Cup on two occasions in 1972 and 1976, and Asian Games title once, and competed in the 1972 Munich Olympics and 1976 Montreal Olympics and 1978 FIFA World Cup.
