Club Atlético Bucaramanga S.A., better known as Atlético Bucaramanga, is a Colombian professional football team based in Bucaramanga. The club plays its home games at the Alfonso López stadium. The club was founded on 11 May 1949 by Rafael Chaberman, a Barranquilla businessman. Ever since, it has been a regular participant in the top flight of the Colombian professional league. The team's most recent stint in the top division began in 2015. The club's greatest achievement to date took place in 1997, when they reached the finals of the Colombian football league, losing to América de Cali. Universitario Popayán was a professional Colombian football team based in Popayán, that played in the Categoría Primera B from 2011 to 2019. They played their home games at the Ciro López stadium. 2015 Categoría Primera B Season
The 2015 Categoría Primera B season (officially known as the 2015 Torneo Águila season for sponsorship reasons) was the 26th season since its founding. Format 16 teams competed in this Categoría Primera B season, a decrease from 18 in the last season due to the expansion of the Categoría Primera A to 20 teams starting from this season and the realization of a special promotion tournament to promote 2 additional teams to the Primera A at the start of the season. The Primera B tournament itself changed to a year-round competition with the 16 teams playing the other teams twice on a home-and-away basis and playing a regional rival twice more for a total of 32 matches. 2002 Categoría Primera A Season
The 2002 Categoría Primera A season was the 54th season of Colombia's top-flight football league. Format Starting from this year, the General Assembly of DIMAYOR approved the expansion of the tournament from 16 to 18 teams, adding to the league two of the three DIMAYOR "A-class" associates who were taking part of the Categoría Primera B at the time through a special promotion tournament. In addition to this, the league started awarding two championships per season, thus making the ''Apertura'' and ''Finalización'' tournaments independent championships within a single season.
