Atlantic City Fashion Week
Atlantic City Fashion Week or ACFW is a fashion event held two times every year, Spring and Fall. The event features activities that include fashion shows, seminars, celebrity appearances, retail events, networking opportunities and industry parties. Atlantic City Fashion Week features an eclectic group of designers, national retailers, boutiques and novice design students. Designers from England, Hungary, Russia, Australia, Haiti, Trinidad, Senegal, the Dominican Republic and all parts of the United States have showcased their collections at our runway event. Retailers have included Michael Kors, Tommy Bahama, OshKosh B'Gosh, Invicta, Brooks Brothers, Tiffany's and Abercrombie and Fitch. Atlantic City Fashion Week has also been a showcase for designers from the hit television series Project Runway. The Claridge Hotel (Atlantic City)
The Claridge is a historic hotel in Atlantic City, New Jersey, that opened in 1930. Beginning in 1981, Claridge's operated for many years as a casino, known first as "Del Webb's Claridge Hotel and Casino", then as "Claridge Hotel and Casino". The hotel was acquired by Bally's on December 30, 2002, as a hotel tower of Bally's Atlantic City. Bally's Atlantic City is a casino hotel on the boardwalk in Atlantic City, New Jersey. It is owned and operated by Bally's Corporation. The Marlborough-Blenheim Hotel stood on the site before the casino was built. It is famous for its address of "Park Place and the Boardwalk", two locations popularized by the board game Monopoly. Playground Pier
Playground Pier is a four-story pier located on the Boardwalk in Atlantic City, New Jersey that houses a luxury shopping and restaurant mall. Located at the foot of Arkansas Avenue, it is connected to Caesars casino via a second-story skybridge, and is about 900 feet long, with its far end extending over the Atlantic Ocean. Playground Pier is the successor to the famed Million Dollar Pier, which operated on the site from 1906 to 1981, and the Ocean One shopping mall pier which operated there from 1983 to 2003. In 2006 the current pier opened, and was renamed the Playground Pier in 2015. As of 2020 it is owned by Caesars. ''The Press of Atlantic City'' is the fourth-largest daily newspaper in New Jersey. Originally based in Pleasantville, it is the primary newspaper for southeastern New Jersey and the Jersey Shore. The newspaper designated market runs from Waretown in southern Ocean County (exit 69 on the Garden State Parkway) down to Cape May (exit 0). It also reaches west to Cumberland County.
