Persons who are notable due to public responsibility, accomplishments, or, even, mere participation in the celebrity industry are said to have a public profile. The concept arises in the philosophy of aesthetics regarding aesthetic appraisal.Aesthetic Appraisal', Philosophy (1975), 50: 189–204, Evan Simpson There are criticisms of art galleries determining monetary valuation, or valuation so as to determine what or what not to display, being based on notability of the artist, rather than inherent quality of the art work. Notability arises in decisions on coverage questions in journalism. Marketers and newspapers may try to create notability to create celebrity, fame, or notoriety, or to increase sales, as in the yellow press. This Is American Music
This is American Music (also known as TIAM) is an American independent record label that specializes in rock and Americana music, particularly by artists from the Southeastern United States. It was formed in 2011. History The idea for the label came from co-founder Corey Flegel's experience of going out on tour with Murfreesboro, Tennessee's Glossary for years, where he became fast friends with them and other bands in their circle (The Dexateens, Vulture Whale, The Only Sons, Duquette Johnston (Verbena) The Bohannons, etc.). Flegel came up with the idea in 2010 of creating a blog to post concert dates and other material about the group of bands. The website was called "This Is American Music", named after a tour some of the bands had undertaken a few years previously. The label was an offshoot of the blog, and began releasing records in 2011. Characterized by '' No Depression'' magazine as "a record label that is more of a family than a business," the management team is spread ...

Rob's House Records
Rob's House Records is an American record label based out of Atlanta, Georgia. It was created in 2005 by Trey Lindsay to cater to the unique, but underexposed growing underground music scene in Atlanta, Ga. Rob's House Records caters to many genres of music including punk, indie rock, math rock, folk, and electronic. Its primary release format is 7-inch records. History The name Rob's House Records comes from the record label designation on a split 7-inch record released by Atlanta bands The Orphins and The Liverhearts in 2003. At the time of the release, neither band had any record label affiliation, and it was decided that the record would be self-released. Being that all the members of the bands lived in rented properties at the time of the release, it was decided that a more permanent address needed to be printed on the back of the label. A mutual friend of both bands, named Rob, owned a house in Atlanta and agreed to loan his address for the purpose. The name Rob's House R ...
