Atlanta Silverbacks U23’s was an American soccer team based in Atlanta, Georgia, United States. Founded in 2006, the team played in the USL Premier Development League (PDL), the fourth tier of the American Soccer Pyramid, until 2008, when the franchise folded and the team left the league. The team played its home games at the soccer-specific RE/MAX Greater Atlanta Stadium in nearby Chamblee, Georgia. The team's colors were red, black and white. History The Atlanta Silverbacks U23's entered the PDL in 2006 as the new development arm of the Atlanta Silverbacks USL First Division franchise. With the backing and support of their parent organization, the first year was pretty successful for the club. Atlanta Silverbacks Park is a sports complex in unincorporated DeKalb County, Georgia, DeKalb County, just outside Atlanta, United States that is currently used primarily for soccer. It was formerly the home venue of the Atlanta Silverbacks soccer club, from which the complex gets its name. North Carolina FC U23 is an American soccer team based in Cary, North Carolina. It was founded in 2002 as the Raleigh Elite, and the current affiliate of North Carolina FC, a third division club in the United Soccer League. The team plays in USL League Two (the fourth tier of the American Soccer Pyramid), and previously in the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL). The team was known as the ''Cary Clarets'' in 2008 and 2009; and went dormant for a year in 2010. The Atlanta Silverbacks FC were an American professional soccer club based in Atlanta, Georgia. Founded in 1998 as Atlanta Ruckus, the club played in many leagues over the years before folding after the 2015 season. The team played its home games at Atlanta Silverbacks Park, a large soccer complex featuring a 5,000-seat soccer-specific stadium in Atlanta, 15 miles northeast of downtown. The team's colors were red, black, grey, and white. The club had 2 independent supporter groups, Westside 109 and the Atlanta Ultras. The Ultras were established in 2011 & were known to support both the Silverbacks men's and women's side. The Ultras were also to be known for their fanatical support at Silverbacks Park, as well as away matches. Chad Burt (born March 3, 1988) is an American soccer coach and retired player. Career College and amateur Burt attended Northeast High School and played college soccer at the University of Tampa from 2005 to 2006. During his college years, Burt broke two freshman records (Most starts as a freshman) (Most minutes played as a freshman) also played with the Colorado Rapids U23's and the Atlanta Silverbacks U23'sin the USL Premier Development League. Professionally Burt played professional indoor soccer for Milwaukee Wave in the Major Indoor Soccer League in 2008–09, scoring six goals in 20 games for team. Ryan Massoud Roushandel (born November 11, 1985) is an American soccer player and coach. Youth career Roushandel started his collegiate career at Clemson University, going all the way to the semifinals of the NCAA Tournament as a redshirt freshman. After two years at Clemson, Roushandel opted to use his final three years of eligibility at the University of Central Florida. Club career After stints in Costa Rica with Brujas FC and Puerto Rico with Sevilla FC Puerto Rico, Roushandel returned to the US, where he coached with UCF Knights and Oglethorpe Stormy Petrels.
