Ananias Shikongo (born 25 April 1986) is a Paralympian athlete from Namibia competing mainly in category T11 short-distance events. He was born in 1986 and lives in Windhoek, Namibia. He shares a shack in the Katutura township with Paralympic silver medalist and school friend Johannes Nambala. Career Shikongo is Africa’s sprint champion in 100m and 200m in T11 (classification). He grew up in Okankolo Constituency, Oshikoto Region, in a village in proximity to the Angolan border. He lost his eyesight in both eyes in two separate incidents during his childhood. David Brown (paralympic Athlete)
David Brown (born October 19, 1992) is a visually impaired American sprint runner. He competed over 100–400 m distances at the 2012 and 2016 Paralympics and 2013 and 2015 world championships and won the 100 m event in 2015 and 2016. He currently holds the world record in the 100 m and 200 m run for the T11 class – being the first totally blind athlete to run 100 m within 11 seconds – as well as the paralympic record in the 100 run. Biography He was born in Kansas City, Missouri, to Francine Brown, and has an elder sister named Breana. At the age of 15 months, he was diagnosed with Kawasaki disease, which led to glaucoma and complete blindness by the age of 13. Shi Yang (; June 13, 1889 - February 15, 1923), born Shi Jichao (), courtesy name Bogao (). Shi Yang was from the small village of Yangjiahe () in Zhushan County, Hubei. He was a lawyer by trade, as well as a member of the Chinese Communist Party, and was one of the early leaders of the Chinese workers' rights movement. Life Shi Yang's family were rural farmers and were very poor. In 1907 he was accepted into the Yunyang Government Agricultural School's Silk Production study program, transferring three years later into the Yunyang Agricultural Middle School. Most schools, including Yang's, had closed during and after the chaos of the Xinhai Revolution, and therefore in 1912 Yang decided to return to his home village and establish a school, acting as its headmaster. He also founded an agricultural association and was asked to serve as its chair.
