''Atheists, Reconsider'' is a split EP between two Brooklyn groups: Oneida Oneida may refer to: Native American/First Nations * Oneida people, a Native American/First Nations people and one of the five founding nations of the Iroquois Confederacy * Oneida language * Oneida Indian Nation, based in New York * Oneida Na ... and Liars. Each band contributes two original songs, plus one cover of a composition by the other band. The album art was designed by Karl LaRocca/Kayrock Screenprinting. Oneida (band)
Oneida is an American experimental rock band from Brooklyn, New York, United States. Their influences include psychedelic rock, krautrock, electronic, noise rock, and minimalism, but the overall structure and intent of their music is not taken directly from any of these styles. Common elements found in their music include improvisation, repetition, driving rhythms, antique and analog equipment, and an overall eclecticism. Timeline In 2001, Oneida performed at the El Macombo in Toronto with the Constantines and Grand Total. In 2002, the band released an LP, '' Each One Teach One'', which begins with two especially long tracks, ''Sheets of Easter'' and ''Antibiotics'', the former over fourteen minutes long, the latter more than sixteen. Liars is an Australian-American experimental rock band formed in Brooklyn, New York, in 2000. Angus Andrew is the founding and only constant member of Liars, currently joined by multi-instrumentalist Cameron Deyell and drummer Laurence Pike. Aaron Hemphill played with the band from its inception until his amicable departure from the project in 2017. Julian Gross joined the band for their second album '' They Were Wrong, So We Drowned'' in 2004, and played with the band until his departure in 2014. Indie rock is a Music subgenre, subgenre of rock music that originated in the United States, United Kingdom and New Zealand from the 1970s to the 1980s. A split album (or split) is a music album that includes tracks by two or more separate artists. There are also singles and EPs of the same variety, which are often called "split singles" and "split EPs" respectively.
