Athanasios Kanakaris-Roufos
Athanasios Kanakaris-Roufos (Greek: Αθανάσιος Κανακάρης-Ρούφος, 1830–1902) was a Greek politician from Achaea. He was mayor of the city of Patras from 1879 to 1883. He was the son of Benizelos Roufos and brother of Georgios Roufos. Together with his brother, he helped with the reformation of Patras. During his time as mayor he ran a gaslight company in Krya Itea, planted olives southwest of downtown, opened roads, constructed Omonoia Square, ran public schools, the Markato market and constructed the race track. He died in 1902. He raised two sons Loukas Kanakaris-Roufos and Vasileios Roufos. Dimitrios Votsis
Dimitrios Votsis (Greek: Δημήτριος Βότσης; c. 1841 – 28 October 1917) was a Greece, Greek politician and served as the mayor of Patras. His family hailed from Paramythia in Thesprotia, Epirus (Greece), Epirus. He was the son of Athanasios and Eleni Votsi, who were among the first settlers of the city after their struggle for an independent Greece in Epirus was unsuccessful. Votsis pursued a legal education and subsequently worked as a judge in Patras. Career In 1891, Dimitrios Votsis was elected to the municipal council of Patras and assumed the position of president. Four years later, he formed a coalition with Achilleas Gerokostopoulos and was re-elected. Votsis went on to serve as the mayor of Patras in 1899, and he was subsequently re-elected in two more elections, in 1903 and 1907. Aristomenis Kontogouris ( el, Αριστομένης Κοντογούρης; c. 1841–1904) was a Greek MP for Achaia and a mayor of Patras. Kontogouris was born in Patras and was the son of Stylianos Kontogouris, relative of the famous rich family in Patras. He studied law in Athens, Berlin, and in Paris. He was elected MP in 1873, 1879, 1881, and 1885 and he was also a Minister of Justice. He became mayor of Patras from 1891 until 1895. Dimitrios Patrinos
Dimitrios Patrinos ( el, Δημήτριος Πατρινός, died 1903) was a Greek MP for Achaia and a mayor of Patras. Patrinos was born in Patras and was the only son of merchant and politician Panagiotis Patrinos. He was first elected MP in 1868. He became mayor of the city of Patras where he served from 1883 until 1887. He took over the municipality with 400,000 drachmas in debt. During his tenure he caused a lot of backlash for his insistence on establishing a municipal secret police. He died in 1903.
