''Ateş'' (''Fire'') is the eleventh studio album by Turkish singer Demet Akalın. It was released on 18 April 2019 by Doğan Music Company. The album was among Turkey's best-selling albums of 2019 and received a gold certification from DMC. Background and design Demet Akalın first announced her plans for releasing a new album during her concert at the Bostancı Show Center on 27 October 2018. Akalın's photographs for the album were taken by Erman İştahlı and its cover was designed by Ahmet Terzioğlu. Promotion To promote ''Ateş'', Akalın organized a number of concerts in various cities across Turkey in summer 2019. Music videos Four of the songs in this album were turned into music videos. The lead single, "N'apıyorsan Yap", was released on 19 April 2019 together with a music video. The second music video was released for the song "Ağlar O Deli". It was directed by Nihat Odabaşı. Demet Akalın
Demet Akalın (born 23 April 1972) is a Turkish singer and former model. Due to the popular songs she has released since the middle of the 2000s, she has become one of the most recognizable names of Turkish pop music. Akalın, who was born in Gölcük, Kocaeli, initially decided to pursue a career in modeling and started working as a model for Neşe Erberk's agency. She also acted in a number of motion picture films and television series in the 1990s. Simultaneously with modeling, she started singing in the casinos, and released her first studio album, '' Sebebim'' in 1996 which was not successful. ''Rakipsiz'' (''Unrivaled'') is the tenth studio album by Turkish singer Demet Akalın. It was released on 7 November 2016 by Doğan Music Company. A music video for the album's lead single "Hayalet" was also released on the same day. The album ranked first on D&R's Best-Selling list in Turkey. Background For her previous album ''Pırlanta'', which was released in June 2015, Akalın made six different music videos. To collect new songs for this album Akalın worked with the likes of Sinan Akçıl and Volga Tamöz. To mark the anniversary of the 20th year of her career, she published the album's name and cover on her social media accounts. The photographs for ''Rakipsiz'' were taken by Müjdat Kupsi. The Bostancı Show Center ( tr, Bostancı Gösteri Merkezi) is a convention center located on the Mehmet Şevki Paşa Road in Bostancı, Kadıköy, opened in 1991. It hosts many events and concerts. Nihat Odabaşı (born 21 May 1968) is a Turkish fashion photographer and music video director. Odabaşı was born in Siverek. He had his elementary, middle, and high school education in Siverek, Diyarbakır and Istanbul respectively. After his graduation from the Faculty of Business Administration at Istanbul University, he worked as an advertising text writer and art director. He started directing music videos and in 1999 began working as a photographer. Arabesque (Turkish Music)
Arabesque ( tr, Arabesk) is a style of music created in Turkey. The genre was particularly popular in Turkey from the 1960s through the 2000s. Its aesthetics have evolved over the decades. Its melodies are influenced by espesically Arab Music, the music of Southeastern Europe and the Middle East, including bağlama music and Ottoman forms of oriental music. Arabesque music are mostly in a minor key, typically in the Phrygian mode, and themes tend to focus on longing, melancholy, strife and love issues. Description and history A very small percentage of Arabesque is exclusively instrumental. For the great majority of it, a singer lies at the center of the music. Sabah (newspaper)
''Sabah'' is a Turkish daily newspaper, with a circulation of around 330,000 as of 2011. Its name means "morning" in Turkish. The newspaper was founded in İzmir by Dinç Bilgin on 22 April 1985. In 2007, the government of Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan seized the newspaper, citing a legal document that had not been disclosed to authorities when ''Sabah'' was sold in 2001. Ownership of the newspaper was given to the Savings Deposit Insurance Fund of Turkey. Ayla Çelik (born 14 November 1973) is a Turkish singer-songwriter. Life and career Ayla Çelik was born on 14 November 1973 in Ardahan. She finished her studies at the Istanbul Technical University State Conservatory and then started her music career. She started her professional music career with Melih Kibar.
