Eyeball Records
Eyeball Records is an independent record label originally established in NYC out of Apartment 4C on 14th St at Avenue A by Alex Saavedra and Vincent Li. The label later moved to Kearny, New Jersey. Eyeball has released albums by artists such as Thursday, My Chemical Romance, and Murder by Death, focusing on indie, alternative rock and punk rock. In 2020 the label began releasing exclusive cassette and t-shirt bundles exclusively through The Hyv. Thursday (band)
Thursday is an American post-hardcore band, formed in New Brunswick, New Jersey, in 1997. The band currently consists of Geoff Rickly (lead vocals), Tom Keeley (lead guitar, backing vocals), Steve Pedulla (rhythm guitar, backing vocals), Tim Payne (bass), and Tucker Rule (drums). Thursday released their debut album, ''Waiting'', in late 1999 with original guitarist Bill Henderson, who left the band in 2000 and was replaced by Steve Pedulla. The band gained popularity with the release of their second album, ''Full Collapse'', in 2001, and released their third album and major label debut, '' War All the Time'', in 2003, which reached number seven on the US ''Billboard'' Top 200 Albums chart. Geoff Rickly
Geoffrey William Rickly (born March 8, 1979) is an American musician, best known as the lead singer and songwriter of rock band Thursday. Rickly is also a member of hardcore punk band United Nations, and the alternative rock group No Devotion with former members of Lostprophets, and is the founder of the record label Collect Records. Personal life Rickly was born in Providence, Rhode Island and raised in Dumont, New Jersey, into a Catholic family, and attended Dumont High School, where he was a member of the band and played the tenor sax. He was raised Catholic, Rickly is a diagnosed epileptic, which has affected his ability to tour. In early 2013, Rickly was mugged in New York City, where his cell phone, iPad, wallet, credit card, rent money, and medication were stolen. In 2015, Rickly was poisoned and robbed in Hamburg, Germany, while touring with No Devotion to play at the Reeperbahn Festival. The Blackout Pact
The Blackout Pact is a post-hardcore band from Denver, Colorado. They formed in the early summer of 2003. The band is influenced by Hot Water Music, Small Brown Bike, Alkaline Trio, The Lawrence Arms, and Murder City Devils. History In October 2004, Geoff Rickly signed The Blackout Pact to the indie label Astro Magnetics. Rickly also produced their first CD ''Hello Sailor''. They went on to tour with such bands as Fight Paris, Drowningman, The Lawrence Arms, The Fall of Troy, Folly, The Draft, Rise Against, The Number 12 Looks Like You, Yellowcard, Heavy Heavy Low Low, Silverstein, Mae and more. In 2005 they released a video to the song "We Drink So You Don't Have to." Kiss Kiss was an American indie rock band formed by Joshua Benash (guitar, synth, vocals) and Jared Karns (drums), with their first album released in February 2007. Although their music is primarily indie in style, it also includes an electric violin. History The band first formed at the State University of New York at Purchase, where Joshua Benash and Jared Karns had previously played in other bands. The band took their name from a series of short stories by Roald Dahl. Their debut full-length album, '' Reality vs. The Optimist'', was released on February 6, 2007, under the New Jersey-based Eyeball Records.
