Astria Suparak
Astria Suparak is an American artist and curator from Los Angeles, California. Suparak has curated events and exhibitions for Eyebeam, The Kitchen, PS1, Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, Museo Tamayo (Mexico City), Anthology Film Archives, Liverpool Biennial and Yale University and a number of alternative venues. Suparak was director of the Warehouse Gallery ( Syracuse University) from 2006-2007 and the Pratt Film Series ( Pratt Institute) from 1998-2000. Suparak was the director of Miller Gallery at Carnegie Mellon University where she curated a number of exhibitions including The Yes Men’s first retrospective exhibition "Keep It Slick: Infiltrating Capitalism with The Yes Men" and "Alien She," an exhibition on the impact of punk feminist movement Riot Grrrl on contemporary culture. Nicky Astria
Nicky Nastiti Karya Dewi (born October 18, 1967), better known by her stage name Nicky Astria, is an Indonesian musician. Born in Bandung, West Java, to a schoolteacher and his musician wife, Astria began singing in 1975 while the family was stationed in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. After several years of participating in festivals and taking vocal training, in 1984 Astria was signed to AMK Records. Although her first album flopped, she found success with her second and third albums, ''Jarum Neraka'' and ''Tangan-Tangan Setan''. Bruce Emond of ''The Jakarta Post'' described her as "one of the biggest ndonesianmusic stars of the late 1980s", while guitarist-cum-songwriter Ian Antono called her "the best female pop rock singer Indonesia has ever seen". ''Astria Ascending'' is a 2021 role-playing game developed by Artisan Studios and published by Dear Villagers. Set in the fantasy world of Orcanon, the story of ''Astria Ascending'' follows a group of demigods called the "Fated Eight". They act as the agents of the goddess Yuno, who presides over the integrity of a multicultural society governed by a doctrine known as the Harmony and populated by sentient beings of various species. The gameplay of ''Astria Ascending'' revolve around the player's interactions with non-player characters, objects, and enemies in hand-drawn 2D environments within the context of multiple video game genres. Astria Regional Medical Center
Astria Regional Medical Center was a 150-bed hospital located in Yakima, Washington. This hospital was a Level III adult trauma center. Astria Regional Medical Center closed January 13, 2020. History On August 2, 1891, the Sisters of Charity of Providence agreed to take care of sick government workers and the residents of Yakima, thus creating Yakima's first and only hospital, a distinction that was held for more than 59 years. The first hospital was a 7-room house on the corner of Yakima and Naches Avenues. The hospital cared for 37 patients the first year, and within a year the hospital moved to a larger building to keep up with the capacity. St. Elizabeth's grew from performing their first surgery on a kitchen table in the 1890s to opening the first coronary care unit in the state in the 1960s and the region's first comprehensive inpatient rehabilitation facility in the 1980s.
