Associação Desportiva Recreativa e Cultural Icasa, or simply Icasa, is a Brazilian professional football club based in Juazeiro do Norte, Ceará. It competes in the Campeonato Cearense Série B, the second division of the Ceará state football league. The club competed several times in the Campeonato Brasileiro Série C and returning after be relegated from Campeonato Brasileiro Série B in 2011. History The club was founded on May 1, 1963 by Doro Germano, and José Feijó de Sá, as Icasa Esporte Clube. The club's founders were the owners of Indústria Cearense de Algodão S.A (Ceará Cotton Industry), shortened as ICASA, hence the club's name. Icasa competed in the Campeonato Brasileiro Série C in 1981, 1995 and in 1998, being eliminated in the first stage in 1981, in the second stage in 1995, and in the first stage in 1998. Campeonato Cearense (lower Levels)
The Campeonato Cearense is the association football, football league of the state of Ceará, Brazil. Format The Campeonato Cearense has three divisions with the following division and format (as in any other Brazilian soccer championship, the format can change every year): First Division The ten clubs play two legs. In each leg there are three stages: *First stage: All teams play each other one time. *Second stage: Two-legged knockout with the top 4 teams of the first stage (1st x 4th and 2nd x 3rd). *Third stage: Two-legged knockout with the second stage winners. The winners of the third stage are leg champions. The two leg champions decide the state championship final in two games. If a team wins the two legs is a state champion with no championship final necessary. The two teams last placed in all championship are relegated. Dado Cavalcanti
Luis Eduardo Barros Cavalcanti (born 9 July 1981), known as Dado Cavalcanti, is a Brazilian professional football coach and former player who played as a left back. He is the current head coach of Náutico. Early life Born in Arcoverde and raised in Caruaru, Cavalcanti joined Santa Cruz's youth setup in 1997, aged of 17. Released in 2000, he moved to Naútico, but failed to impress. Coaching career Cavalcanti began his career after an invitation from Muricy Ramalho, at that time Náutico first-team trainer, and subsequently joined the youth team's staff. In 2006, after a year as Sport's assistant, he was appointed head coach of Ulbra Ji-Paraná, and went on to win two consecutive Campeonato Rondoniense titles with the club. Charles Fabian Figueiredo Santos (born 12 April 1968) is a Brazilian football manager and former player, who played as a striker. Playing career Charles Fabian was chosen for the 1989 Copa América while playing for Esporte Clube Bahia in his home state of Bahia. He was cut from the final squad days before Brazil's opening game against Venezuela, in his club's city of Salvador. The game was played in a half-full stadium, the flag of Brazil was burned and the national anthem jeered at, while flares were thrown at the Brazilian bench. Charles Fabian appreciated the support given to him, but rejected the burning of the flag. Charles Fabian was the top scorer of the 1990 Campeonato Brasileiro Série A, with 11 goals.
