Assaf Amdursky
Assaf Amdursky ( he, אסף אמדורסקי; born January 30, 1971) is an Israeli singer, songwriter and music producer. Music career Amdursky began his career in Israel with the band "Taarovet Escot", which also included Amir "Jango" Rusianu and Yirmi Kaplan. Together they released one album in 199The band soon broke up, and all of its members pursued solo careers. His first eponymous solo album was released in 1994. He wrote and composed most of the songs on it. In it he played guitar, keyboards, percussion, bass, harmonica, and trumpet, and collaborated with Karni Postel, Vered Klepter, Jonnie , as well as his bandmates from Taarovet Escot. It yielded the hits ''Yekirati'' (''My Darling")''and ''Ahava Khadasha'' (''New Love''). The album was re-mastered and re-released with bonus tracks in 2008. Rishon LeZion ( he, רִאשׁוֹן לְצִיּוֹן , ''lit.'' First to Zion, Arabic: راشون لتسيون) is a city in Israel, located along the central Israeli coastal plain south of Tel Aviv. It is part of the Gush Dan metropolitan area. Founded in 1882 by Jewish immigrants from the Russian Empire who were part of the First Aliyah, it was the first Zionist settlement founded in the Land of Israel by the New Yishuv and the second Jewish farm settlement established in Ottoman Syria in the 19th century, after Petah Tikva. As of 2017, it was the fourth-largest city in Israel, with a population of . David D'Or ( he, דוד ד'אור; born David Nehaisi on October 2, 1965) is an Israeli singer, composer, and songwriter. A countertenor with a vocal range of more than four octaves, he is a three-time winner of the Israeli "Singer of the Year" and "Best Vocal Performer" awards. He was also chosen to represent Israel in the 2004 Eurovision Song Contest, at which he placed 11th in the semi-final. By February 2008, nine of his albums had gone platinum. Michal Amdursky ( he, מיכל אמדורסקי; born in 1975) is an Israeli dancer and singer. Biography Michal Amdursky was married to Assaf Amdursky, with whom she has two children. She is one of the pioneers of the Israeli Dance Music genre. Amdurski began dancing at the age of 6 at the studio of the Bat-Dor Dance Company. At age 15, she moved to Budapest, where she studied Classical Dance at the Hungarian State Opera House. Later she returned to Israel to study at the Yoram Levinstein Acting Studio. The Ophir Awards ( he, פרס אופיר), colloquially known as the Israeli Oscars or the Israeli Academy Awards, are film awards for excellence in the Israeli film industry awarded by the Israeli Academy of Film and Television. The film is named after the Australian television series ''The Lost Islands'', which was broadcast in Israel, when the plot takes place. The film takes place in the early eighties in Kfar Saba, and tells the story of the Levy family, focusing on twin sons who fall in love with the same girl. Rona (Aharona) Rachel Kenan ( he, רונה קינן, born 26 July 1979) is an Israeli singer-songwriter. Biography Kenan was born on 26 July 1979. Her father is the late Amos Kenan and her mother is the scholar Nurith Gertz. She was attracted to music at a young age and learned to play the guitar. She graduated from the theater program at Thelma Yellin High School of the Arts, but preferred a musical career. At the age of eighteen she was considered a "discovery". She has cited the Beatles (particularly the song Blackbird), Leah Goldberg, The Pixies, Pina Bausch and Thelma Yellin as early influences.
