Asma Ghanem
Asma Ghanem or Asma Ghanem Miller ( ar, أسمى غانم; born 1991 in Damascus, Syria) is a Palestinian visual artist and experimental musician. She is best known for her documentary film ''Wall Piano''. Life and career Asma Ghanem was born in Damascus (Syria) and raised in a refugee camp with her family. Ghanem graduated from the International Academy of Art Palestine - IAAP (Ramallah, Palestine) and she received the Master of Fine Arts (MFA) from the ISDAT or École des beaux-arts de Toulouse (France). Ghanem started her career working on an experimental music project called ''Shams Asma'' (شمس أسمى). Tampere Film Festival
The Tampere Film Festival ( fi, Tampereen elokuvajuhlat) is a short film festival held every March, mostly at the Finnkino Plevna movie theatre, in Tampere, Finland. It is accredited by the film producers' society FIAPF, and together with the short film festivals in Oberhausen and Clermont-Ferrand, it is among the most important European short film festivals. Hasan Hourani
Hasan (Hassan) Hourani ( ar, حسن حوراني, 1974 – August 6, 2003) was a Palestinian artist, born in Hebron, Palestine. He attended the College of Fine Art in Baghdad, Iraq from 1993-97. In 2001 he presented his one-man show "One Day, One Night" in the UN building in New York City. He then studied at the Art Students League of New York and continued to live in the city for several years. His work has been exhibited in Palestine, Iraq, Egypt, Jordan, South Korea, New York and Houston. In 2003, he returned home for a visit. Like nearly all West Bank Palestinians, he had been barred from traveling across the Green Line to see the sea for many years; but during this trip home, he was able to visit the Mediterranean shore. On August 6, 2003 he went swimming with his young nephew Samer Abu Ajamieh and their girlfriends from Ramallah, and both drowned near the Port of Jaffa.
