Asif Ismail
Asif Ismail (born 30 September 1970) is a former tennis player who has the rare distinction of representing two countries in the Davis Cup, first India and later Hong Kong. Career Ismail won the singles title in the national championship in 1993 defeating Vasudeva Reddy 3–6, 6–3, 6–2, 2–6, 8–6 in the final. Representing India Despite never winning a tour singles match above Satellite leve Ismail played two singles matches for India in a 1994 World Group Play-off tie against South Africa Davis Cup team, South Africa. He lost the two live rubbers both in straight sets, to South African No. 1 Wayne Ferreira and Marcos Ondruska. The next month Ismail won the Asian Games tennis tournament. He reached his highest ATP singles ranking in December 1995, when he became World No. 412. His best tour result was reaching the quarter-finals of the Challenger event in Goa in late October 1995. Tennis is a racket sport that is played either individually against a single opponent ( singles) or between two teams of two players each ( doubles). Each player uses a tennis racket that is strung with cord to strike a hollow rubber ball covered with felt over or around a net and into the opponent's court. Peter Burwash
Peter Burwash (10 February 1945 – 7 July 2022) was a Canadian No. 1 tennis player and coach. He was a right-handed player in the 1960s and 1970s, winning the 1971 Canadian National Championships singles (closed) and the 1971 Quebec Open singles titles. After his playing days, he became a prominent coach and motivational speaker and author. Early life Burwash was born in Brockville, Ontario, Canada on 10 February 1945. He played both tennis and ice hockey for the University of Toronto Varsity Blues from 1963 through 1967, earning a Bachelor of Physical Education degree.
