Ashwin Chitale is an Indian actor. He won the national award for best child actor for his performance in the film Shwaas (2004) a Marathi language movie. Chitale belongs to Pune. ''Shwas'' (Marathi: श्वास, ''The Breath'') is a Marathi film, released in 2004. It was India's official entry to the 2004 Oscars and was ranked 6th in the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film category. Its storyline is based on a real-life incident in Pune. A low-budget of Indian rupee 65 lakhs (6 million), ''Shwaas'' won the National Award for best film in 2004, nearly 50 years since a Marathi film (''Shyamchi Aai'') last earned this title. Nagesh Kukunoor (born 30 March 1967) is an Indian film director, producer, screenwriter and actor known for his works predominantly in Hindi cinema, and few Telugu language films. He is known for his works in parallel cinema, such as ''Hyderabad Blues'' (1998), '' Rockford'' (1999), ''Iqbal'' (2005), '' Dor'' (2006), ''Aashayein'' (2010), ''Lakshmi'' (2014), and '' Dhanak'' (2016).
