Asher Levi
Asher Levi is a fictional character from '' EastEnders: E20'', an Internet spin-off of the BBC soap opera '' EastEnders''. Played by Heshima Thompson, Asher is a main character in series two. He is a charismatic street dancer, who uses his talent to escape from his criminal past. As a father-figure to his younger brother Sol Levi (Tosin Cole), Asher occasionally resorts to stealing in order to provide for them both. He is willing to go to extreme lengths to protect Sol, including being stabbed by their schizophrenic mother. Over the course of the series, Asher betrays Sol by sleeping with his girlfriend, Naz Mehmet (Emaa Hussen). The two are ultimately able to reconcile, and Asher makes amends by encouraging his brother's dancing talent. Heshima Thompson
Heshima Salim Thompson ( ; born 23 October 1986) is a British actor and singer. Born in the London Borough of Brent, son of Jamaican Reggae singer Dr Alimantado and brother of soul singer Zalon. In 2001, Heshima began his career singing on BBC Documentary Heart of Harlesden, he was scouted from the documentary to play a lead role in BBC’s '' Babyfather''. He has appeared on television in '' Spooks,'' '' Spooks: Code 9'' as Jez, ''Prime Suspect'', ''Casualty'', '' City Lights and'' ''Judge John Deed.'' Walford is a fictional borough of east London in the BBC soap opera ''EastEnders''. It is the primary setting for the soap. ''EastEnders'' is filmed at Borehamwood in Hertfordshire, towards the north-west of London. Much of the location work is filmed in nearby Watford, which was chosen for many of the exterior scenes due to its close proximity and the town's name being so similar to Walford. Thus, any stray road signs or advertising boards which are accidentally filmed in the back of shots will appear to read Walford.
