Asha Posley
Sabira Begum better known as Asha Posley ( Punjabi, ur, ) (1927 – 25 March 1998) was the first heroine of Pakistani films. Early life Asha Posley was born as Sabira Begum in Patiala, Punjab, British India in 1927. Asha Posley was the daughter of music composer Inayat Ali Nath, who worked with HMV in Delhi, and the sister of renowned film playback singer Kausar Parveen and another sister Rani Kiran. Career She made her debut as a supporting actress in Lahore-made Punjabi film ''Gawandi (1942)'', then the lead role in Hindi film ''Champa'' (1945), filmed in British India. She was given her professional name Asha Posley by the renowned music director Ghulam Haider. After the independence of Pakistan in 1947, she migrated with her family to the newly created Pakistan. Nasir Khan (actor)
Nasir Khan (11 January 1924 – 3 May 1974) was an Indian actor. He was the younger brother of actor Dilip Kumar and is the father of actor Ayub Khan. Career Nasir Khan made his acting debut in the 1945 film ''Mazdoor''. After a few films, he shifted to Lahore after Partition and starred in the first ever Pakistani film '' Teri Yaad'' in 1948. He acted in another Pakistani film, '' Shahida'' in 1949. Both films failed to do well and Nasir returned to India in 1951. He resumed his acting career in Bombay, acting in several films throughout the 1950s. His movie ''Nagina'' (1951) with Nutan was a big hit. The two of them formed a memorable pair who also starred together in two more films, Aagosh and Sheesham. Nasir Khan also enacted the role of Jumna alongside his real life brother Dilip Kumar, who played the role of Gunga in the 1961 dacoit drama Bollywood film ''Gunga Jumna''. ''Ishq-e-Laila'' is a 1957 Pakistani Urdu language fantasy romance film directed by Munshi Dil and produced by J.C. Anand.
