Arundel School
Arundel School is a private, day and boarding school for girls aged 12–18 in Harare, Zimbabwe. Arundel School was ranked 48th out of the top 100 best high schools in Africa, based upon quality of education, student engagement, strength and activities of alumnae, school profile, internet and news visibility. Arundel School is a member of the Association of Trust Schools (ATS) and the Head is a member of the Conference of Heads of Independent Schools in Zimbabwe (CHISZ). Mount Pleasant, Harare
Mount Pleasant is a residential suburb of Harare, Zimbabwe, located in the northern part of the city. Originally a farm, the area was developed for housing in the early 20th-century and was a white suburb until Zimbabwe's independence in 1980. Today, Mount Pleasant is a multiracial community and is one of Harare's more affluent suburbs. Mount Pleasant contains a number of shopping centres and businesses. The suburb is home to three secondary schools and five primary schools. The University of Zimbabwe, the oldest and top-ranked university in Zimbabwe, is located in Mount Pleasant, as are Zimbabwe Open University and Arrupe Jesuit University. Elana Hill
Elana Susan Hill (born 28 May 1988 in Harare, Zimbabwe) is a Zimbabwean rower. She represented Zimbabwe at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, China. She went to school at Bishopslea Preparatory School and Arundel School in Harare. She excelled in rowing at Arundel School. She is currently studying at the University of Pretoria. Her best performance to-date was in the sea category at the World Junior Championships in 2006, where she finished 5th. ATSZ
The Association of Trust Schools (ATS) is an organisation of independent primary and secondary schools in Zimbabwe that was founded in 1962. Each of these schools are run by their own Board of Governors and are not for profit entities. The Heads of ATS schools are eligible for membership in the CHISZ. There are 66 schools in the ATS. History In 1962 CHISZ was formed with nine member headmasters: those of Arundel, Bishopslea, Chisipite, Eagle, Falcon, Peterhouse, St. Peter's, Springvale, Whitestone and Bernard Mizeki College. Their purpose was mutual support and encouragement. By the mid-1970s, twenty-four schools attended the Conference. A dip then followed leading up to independence with only nine members attending in 1981. St George's College, Harare
St George's College is a private Jesuit boys high school in Harare, Zimbabwe. The school, colloquially referred to as Saints or George's, is located in Borrowdale, a Harare suburb. The land was donated to the Jesuits. This led to the relocation of the school site from Bulawayo to Harare, the foundation of St George's College. On the same site, a preparatory primary school was established, called Hartmann House(HH). This site is next to the official Zimbabwe State House, and the official president's house called Zimbabwe House. The school motto is ''Ex Fide Fiducia'', a Latin phrase meaning "From Faith Comes Confidence".
