Arun Vishnu
Arun Vishnu (born 2 August 1988) is an Indian badminton player, from Calicut, Kerala, who represents India in several international tournaments. He is partnering with Aparna Balan and Alwin Francis in mixed doubles category and men's doubles category respectively. His career best world ranking is 37 and 41 in men's doubles and mixed doubles category respectively. Career Arun started playing badminton at the age of 12 under Kerala Sports Council Coach A. Nazer. He trained at Gopichand Badminton Academy in Hyderabad under the guidance of Pullela Gopichand. Arun Vishnu and Aparna Balan are Indian National Badminton Champion in Mixed Doubles category in 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 & 2015. Chennai Superstarz (formerly known as Chennai Smashers) is a franchise badminton team based in Chennai that plays in the Premier Badminton League (PBL). The team has won the PBL title once, has been in the semi-finals of the league twice in their five appearances. They won the 2017 season beating Mumbai Rockets 3–2. The franchise was renamed from ''Chennai Smashers'' to ''Chennai Superstarz'' in 2020. History The team's first season in the PBL was in 2016. Joko Riyadi (born 30 June 1985) is an Indonesian badminton player affiliated with Jaya Raya Jakarta club. Career Riyadi played men's doubles with Hendra Aprida Gunawan. They were bronze medalists at the 2005 Asian Badminton Championships, runners-up at the 2006 Dutch Open, and bronze medalists at the 2007 Southeast Asian Games. Syed Modi International Badminton Championships
The Syed Modi International Badminton Championships is an international badminton tournament, which is held annually in India. This tournament was introduced to the badminton circuit as a BWF Grand Prix event in 2009. Since then the tournament is being annually held in Lucknow at the Babu Banarasi Das Indoor Stadium, although it was temporarily shifted to Hyderabad in 2010.
