Artmajeur
Artmajeur is an online art gallery based in Montpellier, France and founded in 2000. It allows artists to present original paintings, sculptures, drawings, photographies, and prints. History Artmajeur was founded in 2000 by Samuel Charmetant and Yann Sarazin, then computer sciences students in University of Montpellier. The platform maintains an offline presence in the form of a quarterly Art Magazine, and by participating to international art fairs. In 2015, Artmajeur launched a virtual gallery in a 3D visualization of the Place Vendôme (Paris). During the COVID-19 lockdown, Artmajeur promoted #ArtistSupportPledge campaign on social media. In 2021, Samuel Charmetant was appointed to the rank of Knight of Ordre national du Mérite (France) for founding the platform. Reginald Gray (1930 – 29 March 2013) was an Irish portrait artist. He studied at The National College of Art (1953) and then moved to London, becoming part of the School of London led by Francis Bacon, Lucian Freud and Frank Auerbach. Arte Laguna Prize is an international art and design competition which takes place in Venice (Italy) since 2006 and it is aimed at promoting and enhancing contemporary art. There are different contest sections: painting, sculpture and installation, photographic art, video art, performance, virtual art, digital graphics, land art, urban art and design. David Gerstein (Israeli Artist)
David (Dudu) Gerstein ( he, דוד (דודו) גרשטיין) (born 14 November 1944) is an Israeli painter, sculptor, draftsman, and printmaker. He began as a figurative painter and was recipient of the Israel Museum Prize for illustration. At the end of the 1970s he wished to expand the limits of two-dimensional painting, into painting in three-dimensions. He began cutting out the main subjects of each painting and to cancel the background, creating a unique and iconic cutout images, free standing in space, without the standard and traditional square frame. That led him to work in sculpture mostly in wood and using industrial paint as coating.
