Artistas Reunidos
The Artistas Reunidos was a project created in 1997 by the solo artists Jair Oliveira, Wilson Simoninha, Luciana Mello, Max de Castro, Pedro Mariano, and Daniel Carlomagno. It lasted until 1998, when they recorded the album ''Projeto Artistas Reunidos'' in São Paulo, Brazil. For a little more than a year, these "artists united" shared the stage with many important Brazilian musicians such as Jair Rodrigues, Djavan, Ed Motta, Sandra de Sá, Vicente Barreto, and many others. Jair Oliveira
Jair Rodrigues M. Oliveira (Jairzinho Oliveira, born March 17, 1975 in São Paulo, São Paulo) is a Brazilian composer, singer and producer. He is the son of the late Brazilian musician Jair Rodrigues and brother to singer Luciana Mello. In the early 1980s Jair was a co-star on the Brazilian children's television program Balão Mágico ("Magic Balloon"). The show's cast were also members of the musical group Turma do Balão Mágico ("The Magic Balloon Gang") which sold over 13 million copies. During the 1990s Jair moved to the United States where he enrolled at Berklee College of Music, in Boston, to study Music Production & Engineering and Music Business, graduating in 1998. Luciana Mello
Luciana Mello (born January 22, 1979) is a Brazilian singer and professional dancer. Mello began her musical training early in life, taking voice and dance lessons. As a child, she sang in choirs and later performed in musicals. She emerged on the Brazilian pop music scene as a participant in the '' Artistas Reunidos'' (Reunited Artists) project, and issued her first solo CD, ''Assim Que Se Faz,'' in 2001. Pedro Mariano, born Pedro Camargo Mariano, (born São Paulo April 18, 1975) is a Brazilian musician. Jair Rodrigues
Jair Rodrigues de Oliveira (February 6, 1939 – May 8, 2014) was a Brazilian musician and singer. He is the father of Luciana Mello and Jair Oliveira, who also followed in his footsteps and became musicians. Biography Born in Igarapava, Rodrigues grew up in Nova Europa, a city in the interior of the state of São Paulo, where he lived until 1954. Thereafter he moved with his family to São Carlos, where he started his musical career, as the city had the best nightlife in the region. Djavan
Djavan Caetano Viana (; born 27 January 1949) is a Brazilian singer-songwriter. Early life and career Djavan was born in Maceió, Brazil to a white father of Dutch descent and a black mother. He later formed the group Luz, Som, Dimensão (LSD – "Light, Sound, Dimension"), playing Beatles' material. In 1973, Djavan moved to Rio de Janeiro and started singing soap opera soundtracks. Ed Motta
Eduardo "Ed" Motta (; born August 17, 1971) is a Brazilian MPB, rock, soul, funk and jazz musician. He is the nephew of late singer-songwriter Tim Maia. Career Son of Luzia Motta, sister of Tim Maia and Antonio Motta, from an early age listened to disco, soul and funk, later leaning to rock, of which he became profoundly knowledgeable at the time. His musical career started as vocalist of the hard rock band Kabbalah, After hearing Jeff Beck's album " Blow by Blow", he realized that the British guitarist had soul and funk influences. Sandra Cristina Frederico de Sá (born August 27, 1955) is a Brazilian singer and songwriter.
