Arte S is a residential complex located in Gelugor, a suburb south of George Town, Penang, Malaysia. The complex consists of two residential towers, Tower A and Tower B. Tower A, with 35 stories, has a height of . On the other hand, with 51 stories and a height of , Tower B of the complex is the tallest skyscraper of Gelugor, as well as one of the tallest skyscrapers in Penang. It is the 15th tallest building in Malaysia outside of Kuala Lumpur, after Royal Strand Tower 2. Both towers contain a total of 480 residential units, with areas ranging from . A notable sight are two pod-like structures named "PODs", each 4-stories tall in height. They occupy the sky-garden of the 35th to the 39th floor of Tower B. Gelugor
Gelugor is a southern suburb of George Town in Penang, Malaysia. Named after a plant species, Gelugor lies along the eastern seaboard of Penang Island, between Jelutong and Sungai Dua, and nearly south of the city centre. Gelugor had been populated as early as the late 18th century by Malay fishermen who arrived from Sumatra. The area was then cleared for agricultural plantations by David Brown, a partner of Captain Francis Light. Urbanisation of the area began in earnest in the 1960s, when residential estates were established within the area. Gelugor gradually turned into a suburb of George Town, helped by its strategic location right in the middle between George Town proper and Bayan Lepas to the south.
