Yonkers () is a city in Westchester County, New York, United States. Developed along the Hudson River, it is the third most populous city in the state of New York, after New York City and Buffalo. Tim Tetrick
Timothy A. Tetrick, born November 22, 1981, in Flora, Illinois, is an American Harness Racing driver. Tim started driving Standardbreds at a very young age and on November 27, 2007, broke the record of number of wins (1,077) in a single year. Tim drove his 1,078th winner at Dover Downs in Delaware on the way to recording 1,189 wins that year. Class of the 2020 USHWA Hall of Fame! Tetrick won the 2012 Hambletonian Stakes with his horse Market Share. He won his 8,000th career race in March 2014. He was voted Harness Tracks of America Driver of the Year for 2007, 2008, 2012, and 2013 by the US Harness Writers Association. He underwent hip replacement surgery in early December, 2008 for a congenital hip problem, but was back competing by late January 2009. Tetrick's colors are green and gold. Gene Riegle
Grant E. "Gene" Riegle (June 3, 1928 – October 17, 2011) was an American harness racing driver and trainer. He was inducted into the Harness Racing Hall of Fame in 1992. Riegle started his harness racing career in 1950. His father, Roy Riegle, was also a driver and trainer. Roy Riegle and his wife were killed in a 1957 auto accident. At the 1972 Little Brown Jug, Riegle drove Jay Time who was the odds on favorite before the race. Jay Time, who finished in a dead heat with Strike Out one month earlier in the Adios Pace, was scratched after the first heat due to a high temperature. During the 1981 Woodrow Wilson Pace held at Meadowlands Raceway, Riegle was thrown from his sulky while driving Andre Hanover in the process of trying to avoid a fallen horse. Michel Lachance (harness Racing)
Michel "Mike" Lachance (born December 16, 1950 in St. Augustin, Quebec) is a retired harness racing driver. Widely recognized as among the best drivers of all time, his outstanding career began in 1967 in Quebec City. At retirement, he had won 10,253 races and purses totalling $187,710,149. He has been inducted into both the United States and Canadian Harness Racing Halls of Fame. Western Dreamer (foaled April 25, 1994 in Georgetown, Kentucky) is an American Standardbred racehorse who won the U. S. Pacing Triple Crown in 1997.
