Armenak Khanperyants Military Aviation University
The Armenak Khanperyants Military Aviation University ( hy, Արմենակ Խանփերյանցի անվան ռազմական ավիացիոն համալսարան) is a higher educational institution of the Armenian Air Force functioning under the Ministry of Defense of Armenia. Its mission is to prepare and train officers capable of implementing defense tasks in peace and war. It is located in Nor Hachn in the Kotayk Province. Former defense minister Vigen Sargsyan described it as the "Feeder vein of military aviation". History It was established on 14 April 1992. By the decision No. 420 of the Government of Armenia, the Republican Aero Club and Arzni Airport were transferred to the subordination of the Ministry of Defense. On 1 April 2005, the university was named after Marshal of Aviation Sergei Khudyakov, using the Armenian version of his name. The Talgat Bigeldinov Military Institute of the Air Defence Forces (, ''Keńes Odaǵynyń eki márte Batyry T.IA.Bigeldınov atyndaǵy Áýe qorǵanys kushteriniń Áskerı ınstıtýty''; ) is a specialized military academy which helps train future servicemen of the Kazakh Air Defense Forces. Kristapor Ivanyan Military College ( hy, Քրիստափոր Իվանյանի ռազմական քոլեջ), is a college and military educational institution based in Stepanakert and operated by the Artsakh Defense Army. Background It is named after Lieutenant General Kristapor Ivanyan, a veteran of the Great Patriotic War (1941–45) and the first Karabakh War, as well a key figure in the Military history of the Republic of Artsakh. The college is the equivalent to the Moscow Suvorov Military School in Russia, and the Monte Melkonian Military College in Armenia. The Vazgen Sargsyan Military University ( hy, Վազգեն Սարգսյանի անվան ռազմական համալսարան) is a higher educational institution functioning in the system of the Ministry of Defense of Armenia.
