Arkansas Highway 102
Highway 102 (AR 102, Ark. 102, Hwy. 102) is an east–west state highway in Benton County, Arkansas. The highway connects two of western Benton County's population centers to Bentonville and Interstate 49 (I-49), the main north-south route in the Northwest Arkansas region. Created as an original state highway in 1926, the route has been extended or truncated around once per decade until 2004. A single spur route runs north-south as Main Street in Centerton. Both highways are maintained by the Arkansas Department of Transportation (ArDOT). Route description ArDOT maintains AR 102 as part of the state highway system. Including concurrencies, the highest traffic segment in 2021 was between Walton Boulevard and Greenhouse Road in Bentonville, with 36,000 vehicles per day on average. Arkansas Highway 59
Arkansas Highway 59 is a north–south state highway in Northwest Arkansas. The route runs from Arkansas Highway 22 in Barling north to the Missouri state line through Van Buren, the county seat of Crawford County. Highway 59 parallels US 59 (in Oklahoma) between Siloam Springs and Fort Smith. Since US 59 goes through Arkansas, AR 59 is the only Arkansas state highway to share its numbering with a federal highway that goes through Arkansas. Route description The route begins in Barling at AR 22. The route runs north to enter Van Buren, crossing I-540 and briefly concurring with US 64. The concurrency begins near the Joseph Starr Dunham House and before crossing Interstate 40. Highway 94 (AR 94, Ark. 94, and Hwy. 94) is an east–west state highway in Benton County, Arkansas. The route of runs from Horseshoe Bend Park near Beaver Lake west across US Route 71 Business (US 71B) and US 62 to Missouri Supplemental Route E at the Missouri state line. The route is maintained by the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD). Route description The route begins at Horseshoe Bend Park on Beaver Lake and runs northwest. The route meets a spur route that runs to Monte Ne before meeting U.S. Route 71B (US 71B) in Rogers. The route runs north concurrently with US 71B until New Hope Road. 1926 Arkansas State Highway Numbering
In 1926, Arkansas renumbered its highways into a more traditional format. The system to be replaced was established in 1924 as Arkansas' first comprehensive highway plan.McLaren, Christie. Roads were designated as "primary federal aid roads", "secondary federal aid roads", or "connecting state roads". This resulted in the first true numbering of state highways in Arkansas. Rogers is a city in Benton County, Arkansas, United States. Located in the Ozarks, it is part of the Northwest Arkansas region, one of the fastest growing metro areas in the country. NorthWest Arkansas Community College (NWACC) is a public community college with its main campus in Bentonville, Arkansas. Total enrollment for the fall semester of 2018 was 8,308. History NWACC was founded by voters in the Bentonville and Rogers Public School Districts on August 15, 1989, when they passed by a 65-percent margin a 3-mill property tax to support the new institution. NWACC opened its doors to 1,200 students in August 1990 and has in excess of 8,300 college credit students (Fall 2018), making it one of the largest and fastest growing two-year colleges in Arkansas.
