The Ariège (; oc, Arièja; ca, Arieja) is a 163 km long river in southern France, right tributary of the Garonne. Its source is in the Pyrenees, near El Pas de la Casa, where it forms part of the border with Andorra. It flows north through the following towns in two departments: * In Ariège: Ax-les-Thermes, Les Cabannes, Tarascon-sur-Ariège, Montgailhard, Foix, Varilhes, Pamiers, Saverdun. * In Haute-Garonne: Cintegabelle, Auterive, Pinsaguel. ''Cap Tafelneh'' was a cargo ship which was built in 1920 by Burntisland Shipbuilding Company Ltd, Fife, Scotland. She was built for Joseph Lasry as ''Sydney Lasry''. In 1931, she was sold to Compagnie Générale Transatlantique and renamed ''Ariège''. In 1938 she was sold to Société Anonyme de Gerance D'Armement and renamed ''Cap Tafelneh''. She was bombed and sunk at Dunkirk in 1940. Salvaged by Germany, she was renamed ''Carl Arp''. She was seized as a war prize at Hamburg in May 1945 and passed to the Ministry of War Transport (MoWT) and renamed ''Empire Chelmer''. She was returned to Société Anonyme de Gerance D'Armement in 1946 and regained her former name ''Cap Tafelneh''. In 1950, she was sold to Mustafa Nuri Andak, Turkey and renamed ''Kandilli''. Northern Dancer
Northern Dancer (May 27, 1961 – November 16, 1990) was a Thoroughbred who, in 1964, became the first Canadian-bred horse to win the Kentucky Derby. He then became one of the most successful sires of the 20th century. He is considered a Canadian icon and was inducted into the Canadian Sports Hall of Fame in 1965. Induction into the Racing Hall of Fame in both Canada and the United States followed in 1976.
