A general election was held in the U.S. state of Arizona on November 4, 2014. Arizona

Terry Goddard
Samuel Pearson Goddard III (born January 29, 1947) is an American attorney and politician. He served as the Mayor of Phoenix from 1984 to 1990, on the Central Arizona Water Conservation District from 2001 to 2003 and as the 24th Attorney General of Arizona from 2003 to 2011. Goddard is a member of the Democratic Party. He has twice run for Governor of Arizona, in 1990 and in 2010. After leaving office as Attorney General, he led his own law firm, Goddard Law Office, PLC. Gary L. Pierce (born c. 1952) is a former Arizona Corporation Commissioner and a former member of the Arizona House of Representatives. Political career In the House of Representatives, Mr. Pierce served as the Majority Whip (2005–2006). He was a member of the Rules, Environment, and Federal Mandates and Property Rights committees. Brenda Burns
Brenda Burns (born November 22, 1950) is an American politician, real estate agent and member of the Republican Party from the state of Arizona who served as a member of the Arizona Corporation Commission from 2011 to 2015. Elected in 2010, she was eligible to run for re-election to a second term in 2014 but chose not to. Before entering politics, Burns worked as a real estate agent and helped run a family business. She served in the Arizona House of Representatives from 1987 to 1995, also serving as Majority Leader from 1993 to 1995. Arizona Corporation Commission
The Arizona Corporation Commission is the Public Utilities Commission of the State of Arizona, established by Article 15 of the Arizona Constitution. Arizona is one of only fourteen states with elected commissioners. The Arizona Constitution explicitly calls for an elected commission, as opposed to a governor-appointed commission, which is the standard in most states, because its drafters feared that governors would appoint industry-friendly officials. They are directly elected statewide and serve staggered four-year terms. Due to its separation from the executive branch, the commission is often referred to as the "fourth branch of government." David Garcia is an American politician and education professor who was the Democratic Party's nominee in the 2018 Arizona gubernatorial election. Garcia is an associate professor at Arizona State University's Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College.
