Ario De Rosales
Ario is a municipality located in the Mexican state of Michoacán. The municipality has an area of 694.60 square kilometres (1.18% of the surface of the state) and is bordered to the north by Salvador Escalante, to the east by Tacámbaro and Turicato, to the south by La Huacana, to the west by Nuevo Urecho, and to the northwest by Taretán. The municipality had a population of 31,647 inhabitants according to the 2005 census. Its municipal seat is the city of Ario de Rosales. In pre-Columbian times region was inhabited by Purepecha and Chichimeca people who knew the area as "Place where it was sent", "Place where something was sent to be said", and "Place where one learns to read", respectively. Municipalities (''municipios'' in Spanish language, Spanish) are the second-level administrative divisions of Mexico, where the first-level administrative division is the ''states of Mexico, state'' (Spanish: estado). Michoacán
Michoacán, formally Michoacán de Ocampo (; Purépecha: ), officially the Free and Sovereign State of Michoacán de Ocampo ( es, Estado Libre y Soberano de Michoacán de Ocampo), is one of the 32 states which comprise the Federal Entities of Mexico. Salvador Escalante
Santa Clara del Cobre () is a Magical town (Pueblo Mágico) and municipality located in the center of the state of Michoacán, Mexico, 18 km from Pátzcuaro and 79 km from the state capital of Morelia. While the official name of the municipality is Salvador Escalante, and the town is often marked as "Villa Escalante" or "Salvador Escalante" on maps, both entities are interchangeably called Santa Clara del Cobre. The town is part of the Pátzcuaro region of Michoacán, and ethnically dominated by the Purépecha people. These people have been working with copper since the pre-Hispanic era, and led to this town's dominance in copper crafts over the colonial period (1519–1821) until well into the 19th century. Tacámbaro
Tacámbaro is a municipality located in the central region of the Mexican state of Michoacán. Its largest city and municipal seat is Heroica Tacámbaro de Codallos. The city is located at . Turicato
Turicato is a municipality (''municipio'') in the state of Michoacán, Mexico. Turicato comes from the word "turicata" that refers to a parasite that lives mainly in areas where there is cattle. The municipality represents 2.62% of total land in the state. It is in the region known as "Tierra Caliente", or hot land, because during the dry season the region gets really hot. Most notably in the month of May you can see temperatures rise to more than 110 degrees Fahrenheit. During the rainy season in the summer, the land converts to a very lush green forest region with streams running throughout the municipality. It is a rural municipality in an area with rolling hills. La Huacana Municipality is a municipality in the south-central part of the Mexican state of Michoacán. It has a population of 32,757. Its municipal seat is the city of the same name. Nuevo Urecho
Nuevo Urecho is a municipality located in the center of the Mexican state of Michoacán. The municipality has an area of 330.66 square kilometres (0.56% of the surface of the state) and is bordered to the north by the municipality of Taretan, to the east by Ario, to the south by La Huacana, and to the west by Gabriel Zamora. Purépecha People
The Purépecha (endonym pua, P'urhepecha ) are a group of indigenous people centered in the northwestern region of Michoacán, Mexico, mainly in the area of the cities of Cherán and Pátzcuaro. They are also known by the pejorative "Tarascan", an exonym, applied by outsiders and not one they use for themselves.
