Nobunaga Concerto (film)
is a 2016 Japanese jidaigeki adventure film directed by Hiroaki Matsuyama, starring Shun Oguri and based on the manga series Nobunaga Concerto, of the same name by Ayumi Ishii. It was released in Japan by Toho on 23 January 2016. Plot Saburo (Shun Oguri) is a high school student good in sports, but not very good with his studies. One day, Saburo travels back in time and arrives in the Sengoku period of 1549. There, Saburo meets Nobunaga Oda who looks and sounds just like Saburo. Nobunaga Oda is the son of a warlord and magistrate of the lower Owari Province. Nobunaga Oda though is physically weak and he asks Saburo to take his place. Tokyo Friends
is a Japanese television drama released on June 3, 2005. Unlike many other dramas, it was never aired on television but released as a set of 3 DVDs. Volumes one and two contain the first 4 episodes while volume three contains the last episode. Each episode is approximately 70 minutes. The Tokyo Friends Premium Box was also released which includes all 5 episodes, a bonus DVD, and 12 postcards. Although this is a very typical Tokyo-story and was never aired, it was quite successful probably because it was Ai Otsuka's debut as an actress. It is based on a true story of the test jumpers for the ski jumping event at the 1998 Winter Olympics, who were instrumental in giving Japan a chance at winning the gold medal. Plot Jinya Nishikata is part of Japan's Large Hill ski jumping team at the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer, Norway, which has to settle for silver medal as his teammate Masahiko Harada fails his final jump. Nishikata proceeds to train for the 1998 Winter Olympics, which will be held in his home Nagano Prefecture.
