Aquanauts (film)
''Aquanauts'' (russian: Акванавты, Akvanavty) is a 1980 Soviet science fiction film directed by Igor Vosnesensky, based on the story of the same name by Sergei Pavlov. Plot In the Indian Ocean the Deuterium 1010 station for the extraction of heavy water is located - fuel for nuclear power plants that provide energy to the west coast. Service staff includes two aquanauts, "human fish". Once the serving vessel "King Viking Sky" picks up a surfaced rescue mesoscaphe with only one aquanaut, Jacques Dumont, who suffers a severe nervous breakdown; the second, Vilem Pasic, stayed at the bottom and, most likely, died. Yevgeny Krylatov
Yevgeny Pavlovich Krylatov (russian: Евге́ний Па́влович Крыла́тов; 23 February 1934 – 8 May 2019) was a Soviet and Russian composer who wrote songs for over 120 Soviet and Russian movies and animated films. Biography Krylatov was born on 23 February 1934 in Lysva in the working class family of Pavel Krylatov and his wife Zoya. Krylatov graduated from Perm Music School in the Moscow Conservatory (1953–1959); having studied at once in two faculties: in the class of the composition with Professor Mikhail Chulaki and in the class of piano with Professor Vladimir Nathanson. After graduating he found himself impoverished, lacking work or a permit to reside in Moscow. He would go on to compose music for more than 150 feature and animated films. The ''Auguste Piccard'' mesoscaphe, also known simply as the ''Mésoscaphe'', was a manned underwater submarine designed in 1964 by Jacques Piccard, son of Auguste Piccard. It was the world's first passenger submarine, built for Expo64, the 1964 Swiss national exhibition in Lausanne. It was built at the Giovanola fabrication plant in Monthey and the first immersion took place in Le Bouveret on 27 February 1964. It has a total of 45 Plexiglas portholes, with 20 on each side for the 40 passengers. ''The Aquanauts'' (later known as ''Malibu Run'') is an American adventure/drama series that aired on CBS in the 1960–1961 season. The series stars Keith Larsen, Jeremy Slate and Ron Ely, who later replaced Larsen on midseason. Synopsis The hour-long series focuses on the adventures of two Southern California divers, Drake Andrews (Larsen) and Larry Lahr (Slate), who made their living salvaging sunken wrecks. In January 1961, Larsen left the series due to health problems. His character rejoined the Navy and a new character, Mike Madison (Ron Ely), joined the cast. A month later, the format of the series was also changed with the show's characters, Larry and Mike, opening up a shop in Malibu.
