Appa (band)
is a Japanese rock band formed in 2004 by Keitaro Izawa, Kazuto Satō, and Hideaki Hotta. Since Izawa is well grounded in jazz and classical music, Appa's music is influenced by them. The biggest feature of the playing style of Appa is Izawa's piano playing. Izawa, who is the leader of Appa, is one of the members of Tokyo Jihen (from 2005). History In 2004, Izawa, who had quit his band NAM, formed a band named "Appa" with Satō and Hotta. They often held live performances, but not so many people came to like them. After Izawa joined Tokyo Jihen, however, Appa got a lot of fans, most of whom were fans of Tokyo Jihen. They have released two CDs up to now. J-pop
J-pop ( ja, ジェイポップ, ''jeipoppu''; often stylized as J-POP; an abbreviated form of "Japanese popular music"), natively also known simply as , is the name for a form of popular music that entered the musical mainstream of Japan in the 1990s. Ichiyo Izawa
, better known by his stage name is a Japanese pianist, vocalist and songwriter, best known for his work in the Ringo Sheena-helmed band Tokyo Jihen. He is also the lead vocalist and pianist of the band Appa. Biography Izawa was born in 1976 in Kurashiki City, Okayama Prefecture. His father Masanobu Izawa is the president of '' Kurabun Corporation''. Izawa began studying piano at the age of four, and by the age of 14 had also learned to play the guitar and was active in several bands in which he also served as the vocalist. After graduating from Kurashiki's Seiryo Senior High School, he entered the composers' program at the Kunitachi College of Music; however, he left the college two years later before graduation because he felt he would not be able to study and compose music seriously at the same time. Japanese Rock

Jazz
Jazz is a music genre that originated in the African-American communities of New Orleans, Louisiana in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, with its roots in blues and ragtime. , also known as Tokyo Incidents, is a Japanese rock band formed by Ringo Sheena, after leaving her solo career. The band's debut single " Gunjō Biyori" was released in September 2004, and they ended activities in February 2012. The band sold 2.3 million albums, singles, and DVDs. The band reunited and released a new single on January 1, 2020. Piano
The piano is a stringed keyboard instrument in which the strings are struck by wooden hammers that are coated with a softer material (modern hammers are covered with dense wool felt; some early pianos used leather). Vocal
The human voice consists of sound made by a human being using the vocal tract, including talking, singing, laughing, crying, screaming, shouting, humming or yelling. The human voice frequency is specifically a part of human sound production in which the vocal folds (vocal cords) are the primary sound source.
