Apostolos Toskas
Apostolos Toskas ( gr, Απόστολος Τόσκας; born 28 December 1947) is a Greek former international football player who played as defender. Club career Toskas began his football career at the age of just 18 at Trikala, where he played until 1969. He moved to Athens to sign for AEK Athens, where he spent most of his career. The manager of the club at the time, Branko Stanković had a lot of faith in him and immediately established him in the starting eleven. Very quickly he was became an international and an one of the club's key players in the defense. The most important moment of his career was his participation to the semi-finals of the UEFA Cup in the 1977. In the decade he played for AEK, he won 3 Championships, a Greek Cup including a domestic double in 1978. In the summer of 1980, at the age of 33, Toskas moved to Atromitos where he spent 2 seasons, ending his professional career. Trikala
Trikala ( el, Τρίκαλα; rup, Trikolj) is a city in northwestern Thessaly, Greece, and the capital of the Trikala regional unit. The city straddles the Lithaios river, which is a tributary of Pineios. 1977–78 Greek Football Cup
The 1977–78 Greek Football Cup was the 36th edition of the Greek Football Cup. The competition culminated with the Greek Cup Final, held at Karaiskakis Stadium, on 4 June 1978. The match was contested by AEK Athens and PAOK, with AEK Athens winning by 2–0. Calendar Knockout phase In the knockout phase, teams play against each other over a single match. The Super League Greece 2 ( el, Ελληνική Σούπερ Λίγκα 2) is the 28 team two-group second division of professional football in Greece, being a feeder-league to the top-level Super League usually played from September to May. History The league was founded in 2019, after the restructuring of the Greek football league championships, replacing the Football League (former Beta Ethniki) as the second level in the league pyramid. Twelve (12) clubs participated in the league's first season and second season of operation.
