''Apariencias'' ( en, Appearances) is a 2000 Argentine romantic comedy film directed by Alberto Lecchi and starring Andrea del Boca and Adrián Suar. It was written by Gustavo Belatti and Mario Segade, based on an idea by Adrián Suar. The film was screened in the US in May 2001 and released on DVD in 2004. Plot summary Carmelo is 30 years old and extremely shy. He is in love with his co-worker Verónica, but finds it difficult to reveal his feelings to her. She is sent to work abroad for three months, and when she announces her return, Carmelo decides to meet her at the airport, accompanied by his friend Beto, and confess that he loves her. However, the woman returns with a handsome boyfriend, Federico, whom she is engaged to. Carmello is heartbroken and upon leaving the airport, he is accidentally entangled with a gay rally. Rita Cortese
Adela Rita Cortese (born 5 August 1949) is an Argentine theatre, film, and television actress and singer. She is considered one of the best actresses of Argentina. Life and career Cortese was born in Buenos Aires on 5 August 1949. She is of Spanish and Italian descent. In 1967, she started studying Philosophy and Letters, but dropped out a year later. She began studying acting at 24 years old in 1973 with professor Néstor Raimondi, and later with Carlos Gandolfo, two of the "four great acting teachers" of the time. She was also a student of theatre director Roberto Villanueva, who directed her in multiple plays. Fernando Siro (October 5, 1931 – September 4, 2006) was an Argentine film actor, film director and screenwriter. Andrea del Boca (born 18 October 1965, in Buenos Aires) is an Argentine actress and singer. She began her career as a child actress and subsequently became popular in the 1980s and 1990s for her roles in telenovelas, such as ''Estrellita mía'', '' Celeste'', ''Antonella'' and ''Perla negra''. Jorge Rivera López (born 19 March 1934) is an Argentine actor of television and film. Rolando Pardo Dominguez (13 August 1939 – 5 May 2011), known professionally as Rolo Puente, was an Argentine comedian and actor. He was born in Buenos Aires. In April 2011, Puente was admitted to Guemes Sanatorium in Buenos Aires for treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Adrián Kirzner Schwartz (born March 25, 1968), better known as Adrián Suar, is an Argentine actor, media producer and businessman who is the program director of Canal 13.
