''Aparichithan'' ( en, The Stranger) is a 2004 Indian Malayalam-language horror film directed by Sanjeev Sivan in his directorial debut. It stars Kavya Madhavan, Karthika and Manya in lead roles, and Mammootty in an extended cameo role. The plot centers around Ouija board and spiritualism. Sanjeev Sivan
Sanjeev Sivan is an Indian film director and screenwriter who works in the Malayalam and Hindi film industries. He is best known for directing the 2004 Malayalam film ''Aparichithan'' starring Mammootty. Family Sanjeev Sivan is the youngest son of national award-winning filmmaker Sivan (Cinematographer), Sivan. His brothers Santosh Sivan and Sangeeth Sivan also work in the film industry. M. L. Varghese (1960 – 3 February 2011), popularly known by stage name Machan Varghese, was a Malayalam film actor and mimicry artist. He started his career as a mimicry artist in Kalabhavan (house of arts) and debuted as an actor through ''Kabooliwala''.
