''Anything Worth Saying'' is the first studio album from contemporary Christian musician Aaron Shust. It was released on October 11, 2005 and peaked at No. 63 on the ''Billboard'' 200 in May 2007. The album's lead single, " My Savior My God", became a hit on Christian radio and was named Song of the Year at the 2007 GMA Dove Awards. The album was recorded in 2004, and Shust signed a record deal with Brash Music to release it nationally thereafter. Aaron Shust
Aaron Michael Shust (born October 31, 1975) is an American contemporary Christian music artist formerly on the Brash Music and Centricity Music labels, and now on his own label. Shust was named the Songwriter of the Year at the GMA Dove Awards of 2007, and his song, "My Savior My God", received the Song of the Year award. Biography Shust was born in Chicago, Illinois and grew up near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He studied music theory at Toccoa Falls College in Georgia. While there, he studied Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Johann Sebastian Bach. He also became influenced by U2 and Bob Marley. He began performing at churches and coffeehouses while attending college. Shust began leading worship at Perimeter Church, Duluth, Georgia in 2000, and recorded his album, ''Anything Worth Saying'', in 2004 with producer, Dan Hannon, who delivered the album along with a stack of others to Brash Music for consideration. "My Savior My God" is a 2006 radio single by contemporary Christian musician, Aaron Shust, from his album, ''Anything Worth Saying''. Although usually credited as author and composer, Shust used the verses from Dora Greenwell's 1873 poem, "I Am Not Skilled to Understand", and added a new bridge. The song became his first No. 1 hit on Christian radio by April 2006, staying there for eleven weeks, and was the most played song of the year on Christian adult contemporary radio. It received the " Song of the Year" award at the GMA Dove Awards of 2007. It lasted 49 weeks on the overall chart. The song is played in a D major key at 78 beats per minute. It was the second biggest Christian song of the 2000s, according to ''Billboard''. Top Heatseekers are "Breaking and Entering" music charts issued weekly by ''Billboard'' magazine. The Heatseekers Albums and the Heatseekers Songs charts were introduced by ''Billboard'' in 1991 with the purpose of highlighting the sales by new and developing musical recording artists. Dora Greenwell (6 December 1821 – 29 March 1882) was an English poet. The name "Dora Greenwell" was for many years supposed to be the pseudonym of a writer of rare spiritual insight and fine poetic genius. It was very generally surmised that she was a member of the Society of Friends; and there was much ground for this supposition. As time wore on, and book followed book, some of the facts of her personal history became known and were occasionally referred to in the public press. But for a very long period little was really known of her actual life, and many mistakes gained currency. Her poem, "I Am Not Skilled to Understand" was set to music by William J. Kirkpatrick. The 38th Annual GMA Dove Awards were held on April 25, 2007 recognizing accomplishments of musicians for the year 2006. The show was held at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville, Tennessee, and was hosted by Brian Littrell, Natalie Grant, and Donnie McClurkin. This was the first year in which the awards were called the "GMA Dove Awards" since the 2006 edition was called the "GMA Music Awards". Nominations were announced earlier on February 20, 2007 by Juanita Bynum, Brian Littrell and Thor Ramsey at the Hilton Nashville Downtown in Music City, Tennessee.
