Anwarul Kabir Talukdar
Anwarul Kabir Talukdar (1 January 1944 – 10 May 2020) was a politician of Bangladesh Nationalist Party and Liberal Democratic Party. He was a Jatiya Sangsad member representing the Jamalpur-4 constituency and State Minister of Power. Career Talukdar served in Bangladesh Army and retired as a major general. He was elected to parliament from Jamalpur-4. He was the State Minister for Planning and Finance, and later served as the State Minister of Power in the Second Khaleda Cabinet. He resigned his post to protest corruption in the power sector. The Bangladesh Nationalist Party government reported that he had not resigned but in fact had been sacked from his ministerial post by the government. Talukdar resigned from Bangladesh Nationalist Party on 26 October 2006. The Jatiya Sangsad ( bn, জাতীয় সংসদ, lit=National Parliament, translit=Jatiyô Sôngsôd), often referred to simply as the ''Sangsad'' or JS and also known as the House of the Nation, is the supreme legislative body of Bangladesh. The current parliament of Bangladesh contains 350 seats, including 50 seats reserved exclusively for women. Elected occupants are called Member of Parliament, or MP. The 11th National Parliamentary Election was held on 30 December 2018. Elections to the body are held every five years, unless a parliament is dissolved earlier by the President of Bangladesh. Colonel (Retd) Oli Ahmad, Bir Bikrom, is a Bangladeshi former minister & member of Parliament. He is a valiant freedom fighter and former Army officer. He is president of the Liberal Democratic Party of Bangladesh. Biography Ahmad was the first Bengali Military officer to revolt against the Pakistani army on 25 March 1971 before the start of the Bangladesh Liberation War. He was the first officer to be awarded the Bir Bikrom for his bravery during that war. He fought under Major Ziaur Rahman in Sector No. 1. AQM Badruddoza Chowdhury
Abdul Qasim Mohammad Badruddoza Chowdhury (known as AQM Badrudozza Chowdhury; ; born 1 November 1932) served as the President of Bangladesh from 14 November 2001 until his resignation on 21 June 2002.
