António Frasco
António Manuel Frasco Vieira (born 16 January 1955), known as Frasco, is a Portuguese former footballer who played as an attacking midfielder. Best known for his 11-year spell with Porto, he appeared in more than 300 official matches for the club and won a total of 13 major titles. He was chosen by Portuguese sports newspaper '' Record'' as one of the best 100 Portuguese football players ever. Frasco earned more than 20 caps for Portugal, representing the nation at Euro 1984. Club career Frasco was born in Leça da Palmeira. In spite of a short height his first sport was basketball, but Óscar Marques, a scout from Leixões SC, discovered him and took him to the club. Leça Da Palmeira
Leça da Palmeira () is a former civil parish in the municipality of Matosinhos in the Greater Porto area, Portugal. In 2013, the parish merged into the new parish Matosinhos e Leça da Palmeira. Matosinhos, Porto, Portugal () is a city and a municipality in the northern Porto district of Portugal, bordered in the south by the city of Porto (8 km from the city centre). The 1987 European Cup Final was a football match held at the Prater Stadium, Vienna, on 27 May 1987, that saw Porto of Portugal defeat Bayern München of West Germany 2–1. Both sides were missing key players: the Portuguese were without their injured striker Fernando Gomes, while the Germans were missing their sweeper, and captain, Klaus Augenthaler, who was suspended, along with striker Roland Wohlfarth and midfield player Hans Dorfner, who were both injured. Porto won its first European trophy after fighting back from 1–0 down to win their first European Cup, with the goals coming from a back heel by Rabah Madjer and a volley from Juary, after a Ludwig Kögl header had given Bayern the lead in the first half. The Taça de Portugal (; "Cup of Portugal") is an annual association football competition and the premier knockout tournament in Portuguese football. For sponsorship reasons, it has been known as Taça de Portugal Placard since the 2015–16 season. Organised by the Portuguese Football Federation since it was first held in 1938, the competition is open to professional and amateur clubs from the top-four league divisions. Matches are played from August–September to May–June, and the final is traditionally held at the Estádio Nacional in Oeiras, near Lisbon. José Maria Pedroto
José Maria Carvalho Pedroto, OIH (21 October 1928 – 7 January 1985), was a Portuguese football midfielder and manager. He amassed Primeira Liga totals of 227 matches and 57 goals over 11 seasons, at the service of Lusitano, Belenenses and Porto. After retiring, Pedroto embarked in a coaching career which lasted 22 years (always in the Portuguese top division), going on to become one of Porto's most successful managers. Playing career Club Born in the village of Almacave in Lamego, Viseu District, Pedroto began his senior career with Lusitano F.C. in Vila Real de Santo António, to where he had been relocated to perform his military service.
