Antonio Raymondi Province
Antonio Raymondi is a province of the Ancash Region in Peru. It is located along the central eastern edge of the Ancash Region, bordering the Huánuco Region. Overview The province was split off from Huari Province in 1964 at the request of the inhabitants of its seat, Llamellín, and named after the native Italian geographer Antonio Raimondi, a prominent Peruvian scientist in the later half of the 19th century. Provinces Of Peru
The provinces of Peru () are the second-level administrative subdivisions of the country. They are divided into Districts of Peru, districts ( es, distritos, links=no). There are 196 provinces in Peru, grouped into 25 Regions of Peru, regions, except for Lima Province which does not belong to any region. This makes an average of seven provinces per region. Llamellín District
Llamellín is a district of the Antonio Raymondi Province in the Ancash Region of Peru. Geography and climate Llamellín is the capital of the province which is located in the eastern flank of the mountain range. It has a variety of microclimates with altitudes ranging the 1,800 to the 4,800 metres above sea level. It has warm temperatures, but often has cold, humid droughts. The rainy season is from November to March. More intense precipitation falls between January and March of every year. The dry season is generally April to October. The inhabitants are bilingual: they speak quechua and Spanish. The town of Llamellín lies at approximately 3,200 metres above sea level with a temperature average of 16.6 °C (61.88 °F) during the day and 12.6 °C (54.68 °F) during the nights. The 2007 Peru Census was a detailed enumeration of the Peruvian population. It was conducted by the Instituto Nacional de Estadística e Informática on Sunday, October 21, 2007. Quechua People

Ancash Region
Ancash ( qu, Anqash; es, Áncash ) is a department and region in northern Peru. It is bordered by the departments of La Libertad on the north, Huánuco and Pasco on the east, Lima on the south, and the Pacific Ocean on the west.
