Antonio Delgado
Antonio Ramon Delgado (born January 28, 1977) is an American attorney and politician serving as the lieutenant governor of New York since 2022. He previously served as the U.S. representative from New York's 19th congressional district. He is the first person of either African–American or Latino descent to be elected to Congress from Upstate New York. On May 3, 2022, Governor Kathy Hochul announced that she had appointed Delgado to serve as lieutenant governor, after Brian Benjamin resigned; Delgado was sworn in on May 25, 2022. He is the first Latino to hold statewide office. On November 8, 2022, Delgado won a full term as lieutenant governor, on Governor Hochul's ticket. The lieutenant governor of New York is a constitutional office in the executive branch of the Government of the State of New York. It is the second highest-ranking official in state government. The lieutenant governor is elected on a ticket with the governor for a four-year term. New York's 19th Congressional District
New York's 19th congressional district is located in New York's Catskills and mid-Hudson Valley regions. It lies partially in the northernmost region of the New York metropolitan area and mostly south of Albany. This district is currently represented by Democrat Pat Ryan. Various New York districts have been numbered "19" over the years, including areas in New York City and various parts of upstate New York. The 19th District was a Manhattan-based district until 1980. ''The Daily Gazette'' is an independent, family-owned daily newspaper published in Schenectady, New York. ''The Daily Gazette'' also owns and operates ''The Amsterdam Recorder'', ''The Gloversville Leader-Herald'' and ''Your Niskayuna''. History ''The Daily Gazette'' was founded as a weekly newspaper by the Marlette family in 1894. It was sold to the Schenectady Printing Association in September of that year, and expanded into a daily newspaper, while still publishing its weekly edition. Notre Dame-Bishop Gibbons High School is a private, Roman Catholic middle and high school in Schenectady, New York. It is located within the Roman Catholic Diocese of Albany. Enrollment for the 2021–2022 school year was 201 students. The 2021-2022 tuition was $7,583 (grade 6), $8,058 (7-8), and $8,658 (9-12). Background Bishop Gibbons High School was established in 1957 as an all-boys school. Bishop Gibbons was founded by the Irish Christian brothers.
